I don’t know about Honda’s, but toyotas Litterally throw a code “battery pack bad”

I think it’s a Nickel-Hydride.

 

Prius battery’s are like 50 Amps at 200 volts.

 

The inverters can’t handle lithium unless they were designed for it

My dad works in industrial electroplating. He took me to his plant one day, and he took me to a 30x30x30 chemical vat. The control panel said 12 Volts - 8,000 Amps.

The fucker took his hand and placed it on the copper bus bar inside the tank and pretended he was getting shocked.

I freaked out because I forgot how electricity works, and all his coworkers started laughing at me.

My father plays with high voltage and stuff all the time. Electricity will scare at first. But it’s simple to understand

 

Why tho

 

Lithium just needs to be handled differently. I don’t know the exact reasoning.

 

It wasn’t my brightest moment.

Was interesting though. We work with 12v all the time, but seeing it at 8,000 Amps is interesting.

 

Lithium with improper controls can be a very nice fire hazard lol

Why overcomplicate things, I’m trying to sell the thing. Not make it more efficient.

I finally have a buyer for the fucking thing. It’s been serving as my Ford F-150 Door/ES300 Seat/Random Crap storage for almost a year. My roommate needed a car.

I got it for free, selling it for $2,500.
