I agree with you, but I’ve had a new 5.3 Silverado, a new 5.0 F150, an old 5.3 Silverado, a 2011 5.0 F150, and this is my first eco. I miss the noise but, my god the power.

 

I drove both gens of the Ecoboost f-150 at my previous job when i had to drive the bosses trucks and those things had some major balls. Just don't expect em to tow much

 

Mine has the max tow with the tow mirrors. Good for 13k. Any more and I’ll get my dads 250 lol

 

Don't get me wrong they'll move stuff, but not without a noticable struggle. Pulling the box trailer full of carpentry tools/materials was not great in the Ecoboost. Reminded me of the time i hauled two side by sides with my first gen Tacoma. The F350 made it look ez. But the Ecoboost had a ton of pep when not towing.

 

I’ve towed a ton with my dads old 14 eco. Mainly just the boat, which our old one was about 6500 wet and the new one is 7k.

Btw it’s for sale, TTC discount. Lol. Time for a new one.

I went from a supercharged 6.2 Silverado to a whipplecharged SS Silverado 6.0 then to my 5.3

Edit: Get a pedal commander, I'll be getting one for my truck soon, you'll be scared to drive it after. Buddy has one in his eco and it's pretty unreal how much it wakes that truck up for responsiveness

 

About to lift my 2nd gen with 285/70r17. Not sure what to do about tire pressure sensors. Install on new scs wheels or ditch them. Any thoughts?

 

I put the sensors in, hate having lights on the dash.
