Did you get new sensors? If you did and weren't programmed through the obd port, that might cause the light to come on.

No same old sensors. But I suppose one might have broken. Or something weird is going on.

As I mentioned earlier, I have had a multi-year adventure with the sensors on my Camry. They have never worked and the light has been on since Obama was elected. Direct quote from someone at a Toyota dealership: "Yeah, our sensors are a pain in the ass. Frankly, they suck."

I worked at Discount Tire for a few years, Toyota's were a pain to reset. I would scan the sensors with the scan tool, program them using the obd port and then rescan them. If I remember correctly this would work most of the time.

Perhaps anecdotal but I've had the same experience with my taco. The tpms sensors worked for maybe the first month of ownership and the dummy light has since been on. I've tried running at 30, 35, 40 and 45 psi to see if it goes off. I believe factory calls out 32 psi. I've had the dealership check it out to no avail.

I learned to be diligent about checking pressure and accepted the light as normal
