The tab is fine to leave on early versions when you have 4.9" or 4.5" shackles as they give another inch of clearance

The cross tube bolts in with 4 bolts, no welding, so its a really easy improvement and can be added at any time.

Trimming the 2nd leave would do the same thing and then you can retain the benefit of the tab being a ramp over a rough surface

    Whole lotta stuff
Awesome sauce. I'm setting up a time to get them installed and can barely wait to get them on. Still waiting on my 2.5x14 triples to come in...

Can we use the stock shackle with your hangar? What's the benefits/trade-offs of running the stock hangar vs running yours?

I want to maintain the current height with my Dakar leaf pack and boss shock. I also want to maximize the life and payload capabilities of these leaves. What is your shackle recommendation for my needs?

    Thanks!

Yeah, I recommend staying with stock shackles with Hammer hangers to a lot of people

Archive shackles are greaseable poly bushings so they dont resist rotating like stock rubber. They are stronger than stock

I'd recommend you stay with stock shackles with Dakars. With latest revision, lift should be very minimal like 1/4" to 3/8"

Thanks for the response. Would the hanger affect (positive or negative) loading the rear with cargo or physical characteristics of the leaf pack?

Im running stock shackles. They are fine but dont drop out. I have little rotation with the stock shackle. Good for someone who has a stock shock geo but now that I'm running 12s my springs limit my droop

I’m not following what you’re saying. Is your shackle bolt too tight and limiting your shackle movement?

They aren't too tight. The way the hanger is designed I doubt that's even possible without snapping the bolt. Between the aftermarket springs and stock shackle the geometry doesn't allow it to droop down. As seen in the picture it's about the same as stock droop. If you zoom in, the shackle is only around the 1 o'clock. I've seen other shackle setups drop past 90 degrees

Yeah, your shackle should be moving a lot more than it is in that picture. Especially with a relocation like you have. Your bolt is likely too tight. This is a common problem.

I assume you are talking about the bolt on the spring not the hanger right?

No, the bolt that attaches the shackle to the hanger is likely too tight and limiting the shackle movement.

    This one.

One thing I’ll add to this as well is that you want to torque it down with the truck on the ground, and you wanna bounce up and down on the bumper a couple times first too.

    About halfway done...
Or could the springs be longer than stock? Making the shackle drop very difficult. :notsure:

Longer springs and stock shackles have caused the shackle to “lock out” but I haven’t heard of it limiting shackle movement.

Just loosened them a little and this is what I got. Also checked my shocks and I'm at 9 1/2in of droop. Should have 2 1/2in more travel

You’re not fully dropped out though right? It looks like you got some movement.

I'm fully drooped right now. I'll drop her back down and loosen it some more.

You saw my previous edit with the bolt circled right? Just making sure we’re on the same page.

    What springs are you running?
