I was trimming my toe nails the other day without my glasses on and caught some skin. It was freaking horrific! We're not all bad asses :anonymous:

Not as bad ass as your climbing! I always climb in a gym but have been outdoor once. It was a lot of fun.

I mostly climb in the gym too, its my means of "working out". Climbing outside is like a puzzle, and the one shot at Joshua Tree was so much fun the rock has so much grip.

It is a adrenaline rush for sure! It's a unique feeling to trust your life with a rope and the person at the other end of it.

That sounds like a blast! I used to climb a lot back in 2011 before I joined the navy, and once I joined I stopped climbing.

Then last week my friend invited me to his gym, so I dusted off all my old gear and joined him. Only went twice so far but am getting back into it. Gonna get a membership at a local gym in the next week or two.

Sweet! Should feel good to get back into it. I'm definitely not a big time climber but it's something fun to challenge myself.

I climbed a lot in my younger years.

When I worked/lived in Vegas, that’s the only thing you could really do outdoors.

Not very good at it thought tho. But it was a blast. And very cathartic. Once you’re up in the rocks trying to figure out ways to get up a rock face, you weren’t thinking of anything else but what’s happening in the moment.

That’s what I love about it. It’s physically challenging yet also mentally challenging because the climbs can be quite technical. It’s like solving a puzzle.

Got a date with the truck this afternoon.

    Goals:
    1. replace PS headlight without dropping the plate bumper
    2. Clean/rinse out radiator
    3. Wash/maintain winch line
    4. Replace DS taillight
    5. Other shit that I usually discover.
    6. Hang out with the real Subway

Was motivated by everyone and their yard work, so I did mine too! Mowed, edged, weeded, and leaf blown. Looks damn sharp.

I also gave my chainsaw some love after this last trip. Used my compressor to get it cleaned, wiped it down and topped off bar oil.

Finally got my fridge cover in as well

How do you know when it needs sharpening? It just cuts like shit? Is it good to sharpen regularly as part of a maintenance schedule, or just wait?

All legit questions. This is the first chainsaw I’ve owned.

Sharpen when it starts to cut like crap.

If dull, your motor has to work harder and that’s not good.

The usual modus operandi is to have a spare chain and switch over when dull. Then get the dull one sharpened so it’s ready to go.

I haven’t sharpened a chain, and I need to learn. One of these days I will. Because I have about a dozen chains to be sharpened. Lol.

@Wheelspinner gave me a chainsaw sharpening file to use, but haven’t used it yet.
