My last visit several months ago, there was 4-5 foot drop in places, surfside- that flattened out as you got closer to the point. Anything could have changed.

Makes me wonder what the sand drive is like behind the dunes, landside...?

Be careful especially if the power is still on. Throw a sump pump down there an get out.

ANSON COUNTY, N.C. - Officials say a train carrying hazardous material derailed Sunday afternoon in Anson County.

The train derailed because of the track being washed out on Highway 74 in Lilesville, officials said.

Authorities said the train had unknown chemicals on it.

We have a sump pump. It had stopped working. My brother got it back up and running now.

Multiple levels it failure there... Hope it wasn't anything too terrible but any large quantity of any chemical is definitely not good.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
Because of some stupid train traffic controller (or whatever they call them) who thinks trains are invinceable. Last time I checked they (trains) still need tracks to run on!

I have been told lake homes around Uwharrie are flooded and a portion of a dock- with boats tied down is floating in the middle of the lake!

Not sure my cousin said it was a loop near there house at the entrance! I think one of the sign says Clemson or Clemmons Way! I haven't been to their house in a while! His wife sells houses down there! I looked it up it's off of Middle Sound Loop Rd!

Would like to see more pictures from the Island, we were there last weekend. We left Tuesday morning, have been staying at a similar style home but on S. Shore Dr for the last 4 years. Hoping we get to go back. Hope if anyone stayed they are safe.
