Anyone ever notice your truck automatically switching into H4 from H2? My Auto DCSB-OR has been doing this recently....let me know what you guys think?

What indicates it's in H4? Does the light appear on the dash? Does it hop when making tight turns? How do you get it out of 4?

I'll be driving at a slow speed, sometimes in reverse, and I'll notice that the switch has moved to H4 and the 4wd icon on the dash is lit up.

I'll have to keep an eye on whether it happens while I'm turning the wheel.

The switch physically moves to H4? Your truck is possessed lol
    Maybe try a new switch?

I’m not a professional but I’m pretty sure the switch sends an electrical signal to an actuator. That’s what makes the click noise in the dash. I don’t think it’s possible for the truck to flip that switch. Just like it can’t flip the switch for the windshield washers.

Maybe something is hitting it as you drive? Or do you let anyone else drive it that doesn’t know what that’s for?

Yeah I was thinking it was something electrical too. But I also feel like it takes some force to switch to H4 so "bumping it" on accident doesn't seem right either.

Maybe you think you turned on the AC but threw it in 4wd instead.

My wife thought you needed it to drive in any pasture/crop field. I had it on about 3 days before I realized it was steering weird.

Put it in H2 and stick a piece of tape on the switch (so as to make it difficult for the switch to rotate). Drive for a week. Report back if it still manages to switch into H4.
