When you say on the water, do you mean the ocean or are inland lakes alright? Personally, I like venturing into Maine and camping up there. There’s Storyland, Great Wolf lodges (hotel with an indoor water park but $$$), Etaville and Six Flags around here. There are also tons of museums and zoos that an 8 yr old would love.

I don't know what your income situation is but we have gone to Nantucket every year for the past 7? years and it's amazing...Tons of kids stuff there...Sneaky educational stuff...Museums, old houses to tour, ghost walks, art, music, great restaurants, beaches, off road beaches, bicycling, light houses, fishing...You could fly up from JFK right to the island on jet blue or cape air ($$$)..We drive to hyannis and take the high speed ferry over...It's really an amazing place to visit. An extraordinarily unique place.

Looks like you stole my picture of a rusted knuckle...I just finished the full enchilada today. Watch out for the speed sensor, make sure you clean out all the grit that gets in there and wipe down the edge where the gasket sits when you put the new one on...run a thin bit of superlube around the ring..oh and holy shit I ALMOST put one of the dust shields on backwards on the passenger side...phew...caught it before I tightened anything. I see that 3/4" cold chisel...wise investment...When you are torquing the axle nut to 173ft/lbs see my earlier post about wedging a screwdriver in the rotor slot against the caliper. The used assembly sat out overnight ONE NIGHT and the dew turned it into a rustcicle...It wouldn't even spin anymore...and #$%@ those damn dust covers! Is it on...nope try again...nope...try again...nope...OH there it is..nope...popped off...30 min later IT'S ON!

We've all seen the food you eat, if you don't expect to find a certain type of person there, you are fooling yourself. I am pretty sure they both had waifu's to go home and dream about too....

Probably don't go to the biggest city in New England if you don't want that. Boston isn't nearly as bad as NYC...but a city is a city. I would look for a nice lake spot to rent somewhere in NH,VT or ME. Some of the guys near Boston might know better, but there might be some smaller areas not too far from the city where one day you cold take a 30-45 minute trip in and see the aquarium and muesums etc...

    Morning all. Happy Monday!
Weird week for me this week. Today and tomorrow we're open, Wednesday we're closed for Yom Kippur (Jewish company), then Thursday and Friday we're open. The day off is nice since it breaks up the week, but it plays hell with our transfers from warehouse to warehouse and basically drops a second Monday in halfway through the week

Shrug. It's not, really. But, it's a random paid holiday during a time of year when the weather's usually nice, so I'll take it.

Mine wasn't as crusty as that, though still pretty crusty. I just put the truck in 4lo when chabgich the hub, a little easier than reattchirea the caliper/ lugs and using s a screwdriver to stop the hub spinning.

That damn and sensor was a pita to get out without breaking. I cleaned it/ the hole in the spindle pretty well prior to reinstall. Damn hub probably took a good 30 minutes to chisel off. Damn thing was on there good. I've also got a DeWalt impact. Thank God for it, just zipped the axle nut right off. My old Craftsman one wouldn't budge it.

I must have bent the stupid dust shield cause it was rubbing on what I assume was the rotor this morning when I started driving. But after my ~40 mile it seems to have self clearanced itself so all good there.

It’s more the authentic Asian food and culture you seem to be into. While I have a lot of respect for said cultures, most people I know really into them tend to be nerdy. Others just do samurai YouTube videos in their back yards.:crapstorm:

Edit: this is from a guy who just finished an 8 book Chinese fantasy series over the course of almost two months...and former wow player, so please don’t take any of my comments as something negative
