Mine was loaded down for camping/hunting this weekend.
6 man groung tent
4 man grond tent
Air matress and pump
Camp stove, coffe maker, lanterns, utensiles for 4 people
Chairs
Table
Rifles
2 propane tanks (20lb and 30 lb)
10x10 canopy
Every stitch of camo my wife and I own (which is a lot)
2 full coolers
10 gallons of water
All of my recovery gear and full tool kit

And a bunch of other shit I'm not remembering... Mine sat like this.

And my rear lift is a 1.5 Wheelers AAL and a middle leaf from a milage unknown 5 lug. (my leafs have 280,000 +/- miles on them)

 

I installed a killswitch today. I wired it in-line with the Blue wire of the Circuit Opening Relay on the Fuel Pump circuit. No Fuel = No Compression

This is a commonly stolen truck around here, so I’m being careful. Might get one of those Clubs that locks the brake pedal too.

Of course this won’t stop someone with a flatbed and a winch. Unless I chain the wheel to the axle or something.

 

Please elaborate on this prescription. Did you get it from an eye doc?

 

Why not interrupt the green and yellow signal from the ECU? Less amp draw. Less chance of failure.

 

Where you live they have club break in party’s so everyone is up to date on how to bust into them.

 

I had a buddy that had a big ass club that was a stun gun. He had a key chain remote to turn it on or off. Thing was vicious!

 

Not sure why I didn’t do that. Most of the write-ups I looked through used the power wire for the pump.

I might go and re-do it.

 

Oh I can break one open with a Bic pen cap.

If someone really wanted my truck, they can just tow truck or a flat bed and roll it out of here.

What are the tubes you have hoseclamped along the frame for? I'm thinking a long antenna, in which case I am stealing this idea as I've been trying to figure out where to stash a 9' CB whip.

 

Wrap it in wire loom, make it look factory, and hide it well.

This doesn't stop compression, FYI- it just stops the fuel. I'd cut the power side, like you did- not the ground like I've heard a lot of folks recommend (the pump can cstill see ground through its body), though I would break the circuit with a switched relay, not a switch, personally. I wouldn't go crazy with worry about stopping theft- do what you can, but realize when it comes down to it, flatbeds are a thing, and NOTHING will stop a winch and a flatbed with a determined thief operating them. This is what insurance is for.

What's the frame in the back? 2X4s? I may have to steal that idea for kayak and sheet goods transport.

I've been running the LCE big brake kit for the past few years. It uses the smaller 13WE calipers. It was definitely an improvement over the Tacoma brakes, but I've had some issues. The rotors warped within 2 years or so and I had to have them turned quite a bit to get the back to true. Also, the Hawk pads that come with the kit are nothing more than a brake dust factory. Now the calipers need to be rebuilt due to the pistons seizing.

For that reason I decided to go ahead and get the 13WL upgrade and see if I have better luck. I was surprised to find that, while the calipers are significantly larger, the rotors are actually the same size. Pics:

 

I'd check. It's not a location-dependant issue. You're aware of the frame issues with these trucks, right?
