But progressives for every day driving

This is why ADS shocks seem to be the best imo. Progressive compression and digressive expansion

On road, your shocks are barely working considering it's a flat smooth asphalt. The low flow rate during low shaft speeds (barely working) gives it better resistance and control. That's why it's better on road (digressive valving is good on low shaft speed. You're at low shaft speed when on road. We did a full circle there)

When you're going highway speeds (low shaft speed), a sudden dip, the ADS shock will have compress progressively. That's why it seems to "slow" down as the shock reaches the end of travel needed. The resistance or "control" increases progressively per Accutunes chart.

Now, as it starts to rebound, the digressive part of the shock, it's low flow rate (oil) allows the shock to rebound at a slower, more controlled pace.

That's why they recommend ADS for desert runs not only because of that, but also corrosion resistance...

So much to love about ADS...

Than why are Fox rated one of the best on-road shocks, which is why Toyota uses them in the PRO and they are progressive valving?

Also, what type of valving do the stock bilsteins have? Old Man Emu shocks have? Or, are they linear?

Did you like your icons on the road, like did they have a stock like softness about them? Where you didn’t feel chunked up road as much?

Because the rebound for Fox shocks have progressive rating and some people like that?

Because of a better OEM business deal with Toyota?

Perhaps. I just hear a lot of people and Marie from Headstrong off road saying that people prefer Fox for a nice daily driver feel but good trail riding Offroad.

I hear a lot about King as well. Beyond their technical capability, it's the loyal fan base.

Just figure out what you like in your suspension and pick the brand that supplies it.

I found ADS for my needs/wants.

One of the best purchases Ive ever made for my truck since I got in May 2018.. The stock OR billies were just awful after putting weight on.

I haven't any other setup except ADS so can't comment on others, but my ADS setup rides awesome during my daily commute (32mi mixed driving) and is badass off-road as well.

I’m going to keep them as backups for when the ADS need servicing
