Well ,looking everywhere for my keys .......... after 20 minutes got my spare key went in the truck and there are my keys! In the ignition in the ON position ,dead battery.

Steak in a crock pot??? Have you no respect for the cow that gave it's life?

 

I never have recommended cooking a steak past med rare (and only get it there by accident) but this was just too easy and really just way to big .

My sponsor wanted me to do some easy meals that either took no cook time or no prep since school had started back.

 

Oh...for the days when we had real "lumber yards" and not lumber walmarts.


I got a perma-ban from nearest homer despot. A few years back I went in after 6 sheets of 3/4 AB plywood. None at eye level. Had to get it off top shelf. I requsted help, then waited.

And waited.

After 30 minutes I looked around and found their electric lift thingy and helped myself. About the time I had it on my cart, the store manager shows up looking for a fight. They wouldnt even let me buy my plywood.

I offered to put it back if they would let me use the lift.

Tried a couple times since, but they will not let me buy anything in that store.

 

The architect that I work for is in Vegas. He just pocket called me, I called him back, he’s totally drunk. Pathetic

 

We had a lumber barn in Cleveland, pay for your materials, then drive your truck in the barn and load. We’d get the hardware from Ace. I miss that world.

Morning Folks!

Since I'm off Friday is this my Monday or my Tuesday??

 

I just got my second bid for framing the coop, 1/2 the price of the first guy. You have to know how to bid as well as do the work. $10.50 a square foot is the going rate for framing, windows, siding and exterior doors. The first guy was at $30 a square foot (insane), just frame, no siding etc. The second bid came in at $12.50, includes the siding, seems right on target considering the detail in the siding.

 

I’ve been prepping for drywall installation since 7 this morning, the drywall sub was supposed to be here at 8:30. He just texted that he’ll be here at 11:00.
