You want a 4x4 TRD Off Road with Premium package if you really want leather. Otherwise consider a 4x4 OR with just the Tech package, and get leather covers (you'll find threads about Clazzio here, Katzkin makes full makeover, not covers, etc).

Alternately if you were really thinking of modding to hell, you get an Sport 4x4 and then spend your $10K in upgrades. If you knew ahead of time you were pulling the suspension almost entirely that's a few dollars off, but the OR is a really capable trail truck right out off the floor, so you wouldn't have any spend between you and the dirt.

Do you want manual? If so you are looking at Sport Access Cab, Off Road Short Bed, or TRD Pro exclusively.

Yep,tech and premium packages for all the glitz. The rest you can always add on,but an OR would probably be the best bet to start with. Good luck with finding a truck!! :hattip:

    None as of yet
Premium Offroad. only parts you would need to gut then are the suspension as it already has the rear locker. differences from the ORD to the pro functionally are all in the suspension and if you know you are going to change it out save the money that would have gone to the premium costs of the pro and put that into your parts. If you're in socal you would be able to do a whole build for the cost of a pro here.

Well, if you want ALL the glitz, get a Limited and mod it. Apparently, money is no object for you.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    SR5, aftermarket lockers/suspension, Katskins seats.

None of that ghee whiz tech stuff is going to be very useful 'off grid' anyway.

And regardless which model you buy, none will have power seats.

Just like the 3rd generation in a few years when you don't undercoat them. Plus with the 3rd generation you get a multitude of problems - transmission shifting, diff oil leaks, rear cab light leaks etc. etc. making it one one of the most unreliable vehicles made - just check any ratings whether consumers reports or KBB ( down to a 7 rating compared to the 9+ rating of the 2nd gen)or a multitude of online videos complaining of the new Tacoma's. In my opinion Toyota has joined the ranks of the rest of manufacturers in producing a problematic POS. In my area there are a lot of used and new 3rd generation Tacoma's sitting on lots .

    - The O.R. & Pro comes with a Rear Locker & Crawl Control, the rest don't.

    - No front locker on any of them.

The rest of it aside, *of course there are*. Toyota is selling tacos to the tune of 200k a year. It’s one of the most popular vehicles in the country. When you have those kind of numbers you will find a lot on lots, it’s called inventory.
