yeah I mean nobody can argue against Alabama having one of (if not the) weakest schedule in the SEC West. Auburn/LSU got the short straws there. I agree with buckshot that Georgia's first real test should be LSU, SC sorta but kinda was a flop. Again, not taking anything from Georgia or Bama, and def not running my mouth...but they do have an easier path until their games against LSU. LSU's path sucks donkey nuts

 

went to Arkansas game, they looked horrible! QB Kelly is a joke

 

did not need to go to that game to know they looked horrible.

 

my daughter attends there, i wasnt expecting a good game but at least a win. Going to be a long season for them if they dont get qb position figured out

 

Yep, nothing but cupcake opponents for the rest of the season (11/3 and 11/24).

 

Yea, but also Clemson has a weaker schedule than us and yet Bama is the only team that catches flack for their schedule. Not saying you don't know but a lot of people don't realize that the schedules are planned out quite a bit in advance. Like last year, we scheduled FSU a few years earlier when they were worth a shit, now they just are shit! Likewise with this year, when Louisville was formidable (with Lamar Jackson of course) was when that was scheduled. However, Bama, LSU, and the barn have to go through the same opponents in the SEC west and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

 

Again, I don't think Louisville was formidable ever (go back to LSU shutting down Lamar Jackson) so I don't count that game. Yes, FSU was a flop when Bama came to them.

No comment to Clemson because, well they aren't in the SEC so I don't care lol.

As for playing the SEC West teams every year, sure we all play each other, but LSU has Georgia/Florida compared to Bama's Tenn/Mizzu. Advantage Bama on that one. Alabama's off conference is ACTUALLY TERRIBLE this year (refer to comment about Louisville again), they just drew the better straw for SEC East teams. So saying all that matters is they have the same West opponents is kinda incorrect.

Bama fans cry that they get criticized for their schedule, but really it's true that it's weak. Other teams should catch the same crap (Clemson/OSU/etc) but in the SEC Bama wins that award.

By no means calling that a win for UGA, but I do think we have more depth all over the field. We’ll see how the secondary performs this coming week against drew Lock, who I think is a better QB than Burrow. I think it’ll be a good game that can go in either way in Death Valley. But, saying you’re going to have a third win over a top 10 team...a team that went to OT in the National championship last season and has more depth and more talent this year...just slow your role.

 

agreed 100%. Drew Lock is better than Burrow, but Mizzu Oline better than LSU Oline? doubtful. folks tend to disregard the Oline when they talk about QB/RB play. not saying you do that, it just happens.

 

By far Clemson and georgia have weaker schedules then bama and you are right to not hold season openers against bama. it could have been likely 3 years ago we didnt know Miami would be that good and expected Miami would be garbage, but LSU consistently playing Florida and georgia out the east and bama getting Tenn and vandy has to stop at some point..and georgia needs to schedule some type of big non conference game as well. Sec west has been cannibalizing itself now for awhile.

 

Bama keeps UT because of the "rivalry". Not sure that's quite the case anymore or has been for 10+ years now, but we rotate the other SEC east opponent with the other teams. LSU has UF every year but it rotates with the others as well...I will say that UF is better than UT right now but that's kinda like saying a wet fart is better than a shart.

 

If we going off last year we wouldnt have won against Miami or Auburn...I think georgia is very talented that has will dominate every game until LSU. When them young dbs get in that hostile environment and LSU start riding that momentum they are hard to handle. White is one of the best LB in college and our dline is no slouch and I assure you your qb and RB and wr havent been hit all year like they will be for that game. Winning against 2 top ten teams shows we can do it and can show up in our house with our crowd. But yall should be well rested after playing vandy and us getting miss state another top 15 team.. the game before.

 

I wish when Mizzou and AM join they put both in west and moved Auburn to east to even the power and make Auburn and bama yalls rivalry game.

 

I've always felt like the rotation need to go away and you should just play the respective team from the East/West each year that ranks accordingly with you. Keep the rivalry permanents.

So this year for example would've been:

#1 West Auburn playing against Georgia (Rival) and #2 East South Carolina since they already have #1 Georgia.
#2 West Bama playing against Tenn (Rival) and #1 East Georgia.
#3 West LSU playing against Florida (Rival) and #3 East Mizzu.

so on and so on....some issues every now and then with rankings/rivalries but I think it's more fair.

 

Yea I agree, but that prolly wont happen due to history of Bama and the SEC west and blah blah blah!

 

So you rank off previous year I'm assuming or preseason predictions.

#5 West A&M playing against SC (rival) and #4 East Kentucky because Florida got taken earlier with 2 SEC west teams.
#6 West Ole Miss playing against Vandy (rival) and #7 East Tenn because Vandy is #6.
#7 West Arkansas playing against Mizzu (rival) and #6 East Vandy because Tenn got taken earlier with 2 SEC west teams.
