I know it won't happen, but to me it gets rid of the "you're conference schedule is easier" discussion. Keep the rivalries, but man up and play your respective match from the previous season standings and prove you're better.

 

But it could possible take away rivalries and that wont fly for teams like Barn and UGA. Longest running rivalry in the SEC they wont get rid of that.

If Auburn/Georgia place #1/#1 West/East respectively then make them both play the #2 team on the other side.

 

So its still rotating 1 cross conference game like it is now its just determining or basing them off last season or current season.

 

could also be because they play Tennessee and as of recent the rotation is Mizzu/Vandy/Kentucky (for last 3 years)

 

CORRECT. you keep your 1 permanent rival, and rotate 1 based off previous season's conference standings. home/away rotates for your rival game each year, but home/away determined by National Ranking for the rotating game.

 

Swap Georgia or Florida or sc in for those and see if the whining stops... Ill wait

we'll never know if it would be different because that's not how it was.

as I've been discussing with Allen, see my proposed SEC scheduling format to combat all of this. if you're going to claim to be the best, then beat the best.

 

Also mizzu and ut were in several of those 1/2 from the east in your theoretical match ups and we wouldnhave played them anyway. The east has been down for years except for ga (who we beat last year btw) so I'm not seeing any great solution... But no would be glad to play uga for the batty again this year to see what happens

I'm not complaining/whining/etc about the schedules. If LSU is going to be top dog then they need to beat the bests, plain and simple. If bama fans want to keep cheering that they are the best while not beating the best then that's fine to me lol. Just get tired of Bama fans complaining "everybody says our schedule is weak but we gots no control over that #roadto87". I've just offered up a simple fix to the schedule complaints.

also, I'm only discussing SEC because who cares about the other conferences?

 

All other conferences are extremely weak compared to sec

I wasn't "not giving credit" I was stating I didn't care about them.

 

UGA has Virginia, Oregon, and Clemson to open the seasons in, I believe without looking, 2020, 2022, and 2024

Vandy seems MUCH improved. I wouldn’t sleep on them. I could see them being a top 3 team in the east this year.
