What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I went down to Vista yesterday, and had a Cab Mount Chop done by @Speed Freek

Very happy with it, he did a great job. Highly recommend him

 

Anyone here ever polish the clear plastic instrument cluster? Mine is full of tiny scratches (couldn't tell ya why)

 

Only took the following pic , but replaced the 3rd member, rear shocks and rear shoes. I know pics are usually required, was too busy gettin er dun

I use meguiars plastx on mine and always brings it back to a nice clear polished look

After my girlfriend opened up my tailgate and let it drop without easing it down slowly I purchased this. My heart dropped when I listened to that tailgate drop. This was a pretty simple install with slight modification.

Oh thats sweet! Is it a prefabbed thing from someone, or did you just buy a generic strut and make it work?

The reason I mention slight modification is because one of the bolts on the tailgate must be removed so a bracket can go over it. Then the bolt is supposed to get put back on. Here's the problem though. On my truck that bolt was tack welded from the factory. I had to drill out that bolt and replace with a new one.

 

I have the same.
But I had to remove the cable; there's no place for both.
Sure, you can force, but after a while, the bed wall begins to give way....

 

I've heard of these things kinking the cable and rubbing the plastic off of the cable. How's your experience with it so far?

 

I've been away from this thread since the ebay climate control knobs took over lol

Yep, I did that a few weeks ago. Jason gave it a few extra slams just for fun though.
