Taking combustion air from the cabin for a N/A motor is not as big a deal as for a boosted one, but still the amount of air taken by the engine is probably more than the cab vent or fesh air intake can supply, causing a very probable neagtive pressure situation inside the cabin, leading to a slight air starvation to the engine and a rich condition. Opening a window a few inches would mitigate this. Hence my comment.
This having been done before does not make it a good idea.

No, not yet. Plan is to buy one from Trail Toys. Made from HPDE.

If you do get one, id suggest getting one that connects to the bar in front of the tank.

    @inesshell has pics I believe

I've seen that one, it's nice. I like pelfreys design but they're obviously done for good. I may make my own and essentially copy their design. We'll see. Just want some level of protection before AOAA in October since I'm gonna go now. Was hoping you had one that you wanted to sell.

    See? Now that is funny.

Unfortunately I don't have one to sell.

I was being completely serious though lol since you're in the market for a hardshell RTT, if you had one I figured you'd sell it to get a little more cash since you're not into super difficult wheeling and don't enjoy banging off rocks

Thanks for thinking of me!

I am not currently in the market for a hardshell RTT anymore, though.

Well sir, I ordered another one.

But I plan on selling the current one at the Blue Ridge Overland Gear Overland flea market, coming up on the 29th of this month.

I was t someone to do that, so I can ride with them and see how loud it is. That's the only reason I havent done it yet.

I’m likely gonna do it, since I don’t have any desire for a snorkel.

    Everything TW members recommend
If you close the windows and max out the AC, then you’ll have a extreme cold air intake.

David could just put the ac blower motor directly into the intake since he doesnt use it.

I have very little desire for a snorkel. I have a strong desire to get my air intake moved before I cut the shit out of my inner fenders.

The options are to move it into the cabin air intake, or into the cabin proper. I've heard mixed reviews on both.

Cabin air intake gets a lot of shit sucked into it, at least mine did. I park under trees at work and my cabin filter always had leaves and pine needles. Obviously wont get past an air filter, but could clog it more quickly if forgotten for a while
