How I spent my Sunday.
Different types of eye candy.

I was judging motorcycles for the Italian Motorcycle Owners Club. IMOC.
This was a one day meet held at the Hamilton Rod and Gun Club Sturbridge MA.

I would estimate that there was 400 to 500 motorcycle Owners there with their bikes , a good time was had by all.

The entry fee of $10 each covers the expenses and what is left over is donated to the Juvenile Diabetes charity and the money donated is matched by the IMOC vice presidents place of employment so it s a win, win for the JD charity.

Spent the entire weekend putting on an addition to the shed, with my father, father in law, and my best friend. Practically done. Just have to put on the door, some trim, and the gutter.

 

Test driving to make everything is secure. Roof basket is next to get mounted

Hey all! Just got my first Taco and wanted to jump in the thread and introduce myself. I'm in Madison (don't judge me) and am having a blast taking the truck in the forest roads round here. Can't wait to take it into some more trails and such!

LOL. I wish! It's going to be used to store the outside stuff through the winter... patio furniture, kids outdoor toys, stuff like that. The shed was becoming a bit too small recently.

The "addition" is 8 x 12. Should be big enough... for now.

Got a fucking leak downstairs... on the "overhang" sort of speak... I think the actual name for it is "garrison" or some shit like that. Old house, copper pipes... looks like the pipe that comes up to the sink. Sheetrock had some dark spots, pushed on it, felt soft, so put a hole through it and that shit was wet.

Tore some down just to find the leak, and spotted it. Pipe sounds like it has a pinhole on it. Same shit happened to me in the garage about a year ago, on the pipe that comes up to the toilet in the master bath to fill the water tank.

Gotta call my pops tomorrow morning to see if he can come help after work, since he's Mr Handyman Extraordinaire.

Plus I also have a leak in the laundry room... I have well water, so there is some kind of "valve" that basically keeps the water from backfeeding into the house, and only opens when the pump kicks on. Where those junctions are, where it's soldered to the pipe coming from the well and the pipe going to the water pressure tank, it's been leaking for a bit I guess since the floor is wet.

The "joys" of owning a house... FML.

Sorry to hear about the leaks Nuno. If the pipes run through a 'cold' area consider replacing them with Pex. Easy to work with and expands when frozen instead of cracking.

I don't think it's because of where they run through... I think it's because they are old, copper, and I'm sure having well water contributes to it as well.

 

Copper should last more than a lifetime. Possibly minerals in the water causing corrosion but that usually clogs the pipes with build up. Most likely a bad solder joint, nick or kink in the pipe during installation or dry walling.
