Waiting on parts to come in the next couple months and looking at hydro bumps for the front and rear. I know this will take some work to get right but with a MT setup would you go 2x2"/2.5x2.5" or 2x4"/2.5x4" setups?

Running King 2.5 Extended with 700lb coils. Will be paired with 6" travel double bypasses and TC Race LCA. I was thinking either of these should be good (King 2x2" or 2.5x2.5" bumps).

Rear I will be running 12" Triple bypasses and with the extra travel would 2x2"/2.5x2.5" be enough or better to go with one of the 4" setups (King 2x4"/2.5x4")

Looking to order in the next month or two before the welding gets started. Recommendations?

 

Wheelers superbumps up front and 2.0x2.0 for the rear. A hydro bump off the lca is not recommended unless you really plan on revalving and tuning the bumps. Then for the rear until you are pulling more than 18-20” of travel, 2” stroke is just fine.

Definitely use a 2" stroke, otherwise too much of your travel will be in bump.

I'm going to do hydro's off the UCA to help with that issue, 2" diameter is plenty for an MT, and makes clearance on the rear's easier. 2.5" will work, but you'll probably want to notch the frame for more clearance.

 

Hydros off the UCA? What front setup do you have? Even with gusseted spindles you’re likely to bend them on a hard hit if you bump off them

 

Gussets on OEM. Mixed reviews on how that will work out, I'm not jumping it, but hydros off the LCA are a waist.

 

Lca is definitely a waste. I’d just be careful not to get too frisky on the trail and bend stuff.

And Camburg is supposed to have a fabed spindle out soon.

 

Makes sense. For now I’ll prob go with 2”x2” in the rear and super bumps. Seems to be a popular setup. If it’s goes LT down the line I’ll revisit.

That thing looks pretty nice!

With the TC UCA amd LCA you also gain about 1” of movement in the MT setup with extended shocks. Also you can run a second shock and adds some serviceability. If it was not for that prob would have kept it stock. Get some ground clearance too as a bonus with the race version.

 

Yah sounds like until you hit 18”+ of travel 2” is more than enough.

 

I have a full set of Dirt King control arms for all of those reasons. Also because they don't break as quickly as OE...

 

Love my dirt king setup. Just need some bypasses and it’ll be complete. But a cage this year will be first

 

Engine cage and new front fender supports are high on my to-do list.
