Just a heads up; the rear diff on my ‘18 OR has the same leak as what caused the recall on the 16-17s. Noticed it at about 7000 miles. I monitored for a couple of months for puddles or increase of staining. I took it in today for the 10,000 mile service, with a copy of the 16-17 recall in hand.

They confirmed that it’s the same thing and have ordered parts (the gasket I assume) to fix it under warranty.

    Awesome.

Glad they didn't argue with you about 'normal'.

Does your Vin start with a 3 or a 5? Just wondering if this is something I may be dealing with as well.

Quite a few members had the retirement and new gasket done and still leaking.

There will be an aftermarket mod for this I’m sure, there’s already a bolt replacement kit for the 2nd Gen
