Dude! Looks like you had a better time than I did. Damn Utes can’t figure out there offensive woes. We have next week off, but unfortunately I have another eight hours of CE to do on Saturday. Not sure when I’m going to get out again.

Do you carry a floor jack in lieu of a hi-lift? Probably a better choice in most cases.

I just figured out a way to carry a floor jack in my truck full time ala chase truck, so yes. Plus my friend Ben that is with me like 80% of the time has a hilift so it makes it easy. I figure if it is good enough for the Baja guys, it has to be good enough for us.

Plus the Hokie game was on hurricane delay, so I had to go do something.

Definitely +1 for the floor jack. How do you store it? Pic?

Used a regular quick fist around the roller on the front of my HF jack, and a XL quickfist strap around the body. Bolted with grade 8 1/4" hardware through the composite fender hump, and secured with fender washers, lock washers, and nuts below.

I'm gonna make another set of quickfist brackets for the jack handle halves like I did for my axe and shovel. That way there is nothing rattling around in my bed and it looks well done.

Plus I made the Pro Eagle base pad and extensions work with my jack with a little inspiration from another member here on TW and a trip to Lowes for a huge washer.

It's kinda odd, because off the line, they aren't usually WOT, and a lot of them get a push start to bump start the motor. We moved about 2/3 of the way down the course for by where the pits are, and then they are almost at the max speeds. Crazy to watch the streamlines zip by at 3-400 mph after a string of coupes doing upper 100s.

There was this big diesel truck made for the race that did 228! Rolled coal like nothing I've ever seen before. The soot hung over the track for like 20 mins after he cleared the line.

Edit: And this little sucker... 550 HP 2.0 liter motor!!! Broke 200 mph. Those little cylinders had to be screaming.

Any second gen owners looking for a high clearance rear bumper? I have a CBI bushmaster dual swingout I am looking at selling. It has been modified to match trimmed or fiberglass fenders for bigger tires but could easily be modified back if needed. Love the bumper but also like building stuff so I want to take a stab at making my own to match the styling of my homemade front. Hit me up if you are interested and we can talk price.

Anyone in the Sandy area know where I could find a radio shack type place? Need a small "hobby box" enclosure for something, and don't wanna wait for Amazon.

You could try MRS Hobby maybe? And grab a gut bomb next door at the Philadelphian while you're there.

You seem to know all these one off type places. May have to go check it out.

In the mean time, one of our engineers gave me the case from a 2" end mill bit that I'm gonna macgyver to work. Gotta love machine shops.

They're still setting up our new 3d printer I just signed off on, or I'd have just made one.

+1 on the Philadelphian - the ultimate greasy spoon. :hungry:

It's not in sandy but I bought my last project box at Standard Supply - 3424 Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 Ra-Elco was the place to go until the fire. :(

If there’s a delicious dive nearby I’ve probably lurked around it. @jsi I swear the only reason the health dept doesn’t shut down the Philadelphian is cause they like eating there too much

Fat Boy Philly's next to Fashion Place Mall is up your alley then. Coworker from Philly says its the closest he's had to home.

If your jonesing for a treat, ask for it "grilled cheese style" and they'll hook you up.
