Its known that AT&T and Apple signed a 5 year contract in 2007. There was some legal issues, a class action lawsuit claiming a monopoly. Read this article posted May 10, 2010.

My guess is that its still a 5 year contract and Apple will be stuck with AT&T until June 2012.

 

I'm not eligible for my upgrade until the 29th, If I prerorder do you think I'll have to pay an early upgrade fee?

 

Nope. I know for a fact that you don't have to wait.

 

You don't have to wait but there is an $18 upgrade fee. Dial *639# on your phone, AT&T will send you a text confirming this.

 

Too bad the servers are so screwed that we can't preorder Hopefully it settles down soon.

I've gotten past that a few times already. I'm stuck on the processing of the phone part now. Been on the processing request for about 30 mins now.

I bought my 32gig 3gs last september. What do you guys think is the best way about going to the new one? I renewed my two-year when I bought it.

I thought AT&T was working until I got to the very last page and hit submit order..... then nope

 

I can't get past the "checking eligibility" stage still...

32, HD video is big.

 

I don't know why it shows a $699 price though. It showed $299 up until this page. I'll find out when I pick it up. No way I'd pay that price.
