I only used these for 500 miles and just stored them in my garage. I’m located in Las Cruces, NM. One of the center caps has damage as you see in the picture.

Not really interested in them, but just for the record do they include the TMPS sensors?

The pics show rubber stems, so they're not on the tires. Hope that helps. GLWS!

Just curious, what tire/wheel did you end up changing to? I'm getting a SR Taco in the next month and would like to upgrade

Do these fit TRD trims and up? I know some trucks/cars aren’t capable of fitting lower trim model tires due to brake caliper sizes.

I bought a 2020 SR and picked up some 2017 TRD rims for it. The tires swapped perfectly, but, the sensors in the stock SR rims are not made for TRD rims, and either have to be replaced or installed upside down. It's probably not great to install them this way, but hey, they still work :)

I traded my SR steelies for a 30 pack of Rolling Rock. I still think it was a good trade.

    This is false!!
I just replaced my steel wheels with TRD alloy wheels. The dealer swore the sensors weren’t compatible and tried to charge me over $600 for new ones. THIS IS COMPLETE BS!!!
I had a tire shop install the new wheels with same sensors, balanced and all for $140.
In fact, the second tire company I researched told me he would return the wheels and tell them to shove them up their ***!! I should have but instead filed a complaint with corporate. Don’t use Parks Toyota in Deland FL!!

Your dealer wasn't completely wrong, but probably misleading. Also, they're probably not allowed by Toyota to install the old sensors. Reason being, you have to install the old sensors upside down in the TRD rims. The steele sensors are different. The sensors are meant to rest on the inner wall, which yours probably do not anymore.

Mine don't either. They still work fine installed upside down. I wasn't going to pay $600 for a whole new set of sensors either.

My takeaway from all my SR work is BUY WHAT YOU WANT! You'll spend a small fortune upgrading stuff that wasn't in your package. I just spent another $1000 getting speakers installed in the back access doors (because they had to run wire and modify the inner door panel plastic). Sigh...

They were absolutely lying. My tire shop used the same sensors for my new wheels. There is no difference and can absolutely be used in any wheel. They were just trying to scam me. My proof is the same sensors work perfectly in my new wheels. Both wheels are Toyota wheels. No Reason they can’t be used for both. They just tried to rip me off. Period. Lying assholes!!

Only thing I have heard is that the steel wheel sensors, when installed in alloys, stick “out” such that if you get a fully flat tire, the sensor gets mashed (and destroyed).

They're probably upside down. I'm not defending your dealer, we all know most of them are sketchy. But from a purely "by the book" perspective, the sensors for non-alloy wheels are different than alloy wheels. That doesn't mean they won't work in either rim configuration, though. Your tire guy likely just knew they could be placed upside down, or didn't know they were supposed to rest against the inner rim wall.

Yup, ding ding ding! They're supposed to rest on the inner rim wall to avoid this. Steel sensors won't do this in alloy wheels because of the way they are shaped.

I knew there was a reason against installing them upside down, but I couldn't remember what it was. Thanks for the reminder!
