At this point. With that argument, Bama plays A&M this weekend. So if Bama beats them, does that mean Bama has played someone or if Bama blows them out, A&M wasn't that good to begin with and they were only ranked 22 when they played Bama? The argument is always going to go against Bama since they have been at the top so long. It is what it is, no worries here. No one will ever see it from a Bama fan's POV because I don't think this will ever happen again what Bama has done/doing over the past 10+ years.

I would credit Bama with a good win if they beat A&M, so don't be so quick to say "the argument will always go against Bama". The only reason Ole Miss didn't end up being anything is because SIU dropped 41 on them.

saying "no one will ever see it from a Bama fan's POV" is just as easy to turn around and say "A Bama fan is incapable of seeing another POV". A lot of the reason Bama is so hated is not because of their success, but because of the blinders the fans wear. The amount of Bama games I've watched and seen the fans go "ugh the refs are so against us because we are so great" is just ridiculous. If the fans would step back for a second, and look at things from the outside (like a team getting into the national title after not winning even their half of the conference) they would see why Bama gets so much shit flung at them, because they get so much "gifted" as well.

I don't see the UGA fans complaining that some have said they haven't played anyone....

A lot of true Bama fans know what the other side looks like. My entire teen life was Bama being the epitome of suck and it was miserable! I know exactly what everyone else feels like. However, there wasn't that one team that was in the limelight like Bama has been so no I don't know what that's like.

UGA fans are just now becoming part of the top for multiple seasons in a row, this is all still new for them.

    you refer to my avatar.

since there wasn't a team like Bama is now, you're right you don't know what it's like to see a team given so much.

You sound naive and act like Alabama will be the best forever. It's all cyclical.

Not at all, but they are just now on the come up. Hell look back at this thread thru the years and look how many UGA folks were even part of the discussions. The target is always going to be pointed at Bama because they are on top right now. Time will tell if people continue to talk shit about Bama after their reign at the top expires.

Anyway, I'm done talking about this, it will literally continue until Saban retires and Bama starts their decline whenever that may be.

Other than the Bama/TAMU game, really interested to watch the KY/MSU game and the UGA/Mizzou game this weekend! Don't think the Stanford/Oregon game will be that exciting but the Duck may surprise me

no because even when Bama was shit all the fans talked about was "we have history with the Bear" "we were great" "24 national titles in 3 years is our unbreakable record" and they were playing Hawaii in the toilet bowl.

    Serious question

When do yall think Saban retires?
Will he pop smoke early before the JoePa, Bowden esque decline?
Will he wait till midseason when he realizes hes lost it Spurrier style?

me too :bananadead:. It's coming with Frost. couple years out but he's building up recruits now for his system. If we can get back to being in the conversation for the Big Title every year with an occasional run at the playoffs I'll consider that a huge success. The field is too level now with facilities and TV coverage that Nebraska's location is a hindrance, until people/recruits actually visit and see there is more than corn... not a lot... but there is :D That's why we needed Frost. A hot name in the game with a great track record and ability to recruit.

    Almost like Neb Fans... :anonymous:

My honest guess is when he goes a few years in a row without a title. I know that sounds insane, but it will happen.

I don't, he'll have Saban somehow involved until the man dies. The amount of money the folks pour into that school is just so much and that's going to be hard to not be great with.

But will it be a Bowden at FSU type thing? Too much in the shadows?
