Toyota removing pandora integrated app

When streaming with Bluetooth have you verified the volume on your phone itself is turned up?

Pandora has sucked for a while now. I’ve been using Amazon music via the USB or Bluetooth connection.

 

I use Pandora app through Entune daily and it's been great for the last 18 months I've had my truck. Idk why there's so many that can't get it to work.

 

Did you get your Pandora"stations" to show on your headunit?

 

Entune is complete garbage but I do use Pandora sooooo that blows if they kill it.

 

As I see this, this is like Toyota taking back a part of the truck they sold to the paying customer! Sort of like they are saying we sold you this feature and now we are taking it away.
Is this even legal??????? Whats next? the Nav system? the cruise control? The customers PAID for this feature on their Radio unit. I would think Toyota would HAVE to come up something better? to replace what they are taking away!

Interesting! --mine failed to work for 6-8 weeks --after it had worked well for the previous 8 months. Now just last week it started working again????

 

I stopped updating my iphone at like 10.3.1 so that might be some of it.

 

Pandora worked great for me too. No commercials thru entune and has a high quality audio option.

 

If they would just add Android Auto or Car Play they wouldn't have to worry about keeping up with third party apps any more...

 

Agree, loading third party apps directly on the HU is silly in the first place, unless the HU is running a supported Android or iOS release (and is kept relatively up to date on releases).

 

Toyota just doesn't want to admit they messed up. Just like they messed up with the third gen and putting this horrible engine/transmission combination

 

lol yeah Toyota lost another customer via my son. he wanted the new 2019 rav4 limited to replace his 2015 camry xse, but not having android auto killed the deal. he switched to a 2019 santa fe ultimate. loving his android auto.

edit : the rav4 limted and the santa fe ultimate are mirror images of features/options exactly.

the only difference is android auto.

 

This is an outrage! Pandora and the Weather App are the only worth a shit apps on this whole piece of shit infotainment system from Toyota. I am slowing losing my likeness of Toyota.

 

I couldn't care less about open table, bu Pandora pisses me off. What chaps me even more is the fact they are going to leave dead icons on the screen, what the hell?

 

I quickly uninstalled that app from my phone, it was a POS. If I want pandora, I just hit bluetooth and control it from my phone.

 

Couldn't care less about what apps are on the head unit. What I do care about is having to log in to the app on my phone every 3 days to get anything to work.
