I don't recommend doing this but :D last night we didn't have any eggs for the meatloaf so I melted a stick of butter and used that as a binder. Holy shit it was outrageous. Best meatloaf I've ever had.

    1lb ground beef
    1 stick butter :anonymous:
    1/2 white onion diced
    Bloody mary mix
    Bread crumbs
    Salt and pepper

Topped with a little ketchup and crystal hot sauce mix.

Smoked for an hour with hickory.

I don't know about that but if I learned anything from this, it's do something no one else is doing and charge a premium. $75 for a watermelon.

I saw a bunch of post about cooking burgers.... I like cooking them different ways. Lately, I've liked a loose pattied burger of 80/20 cooked on a screaming hot griddle with nothing but salt and pepper for seasoning. leave the burgers alone, only move them after they release on their own and it'll make a nice crust with juicy insides.

Anyway, anyone use a vortex in a Weber Kettle? I've been thinking about buying one. Does it make a crispy chicken skin?

Vortex's are popular in here. Not me yet... but lots of amazing results with them in here.

I will be headed up in October again, so I guess I will stock up then! That is a pretty awesome buy.
Yeah and I keep buying the safeway buy1get1 meat--I need to grill so I can make room in the freezer though... They need to stop!

I would totally agree about walmart, and I used to hate their meat in CA! Fred Meyer also sometimes has deal, but I haven't been in a while.

I love my vortex, for wings and other goodies.
