Maybe Ferrari thought the Mercs were sandbagging with the Ultra's so they thought they would give it a go. :notsure:

Wasn't the chicane removed for last year's race ?

Edit : it was removed in 2013

They did mentioned it a couple times if i remember right.

No matter what though Lewis put in a hell of a lap to win pole. Over a second faster than his fastest time and the .3 second over Max was a huge difference compare to most qualie's which were much tighter margins

Think Toto (i THINK it was Toto at least) who just simply told Lewis "That was an epic lap" which summed it up pretty well

HAM and VER laps were both epic. HAM had more horsepower, VER had more mechanical grip. They both drove what they had, and what a drive it was.

Post race RIC said he caught RAI who had caught BOT. Neither of them could do anything about it. Aero is killing the sport.

Great strategy by MB, perfect start by HAM. Exceptional drive by VER with a misfiring engine all weekend. Unsung heroes LeClerc and Alonso. Hopefully that changes next year.

I think Merc and Lewis are going to walk away with another title. Amateur hour over at Ferrari and Vettel looks dejected already like he knows it's out of reach.

Only in F1 cause every other motorsport has lots of passing and mishaps. Almost took the life of Dario back in 2013.

I don't really consider crashes as "good racing". Fun to watch when everyone is fine..yup!

I like Baku. The circuit is interesting going through the old city near the castle, yet has long wide straights for passing. It's a winner for a street circuit in my book. Monaco is a bore fest for me.

I'd love to physically attend the event in Monaco but I'd probably all but ignore the actual racing. The last F1 race at Monaco that was worth watching occurred before color television.

So I was getting a haircut this evening and my 5yo daughter was with me.
She was flipping trough a magazine when she asked me why this boy looked like a girl.

I look at the ad and its Lewis Hamilton

I love the settings of pretty much all the city races. Baku for the old buildings, Monaco for the history, China for the night racing....just haven't found the actual racing ot be all that exciting

Do you prefer the street courses to the Tilke designed road courses? I've heard much of the old guard F1 fans bemoan what Tilke has done to the sport. I've only been to Austin, and as much as I like the track's setting, it seems a little unnecessarily busy.
