Lug nuts... long or short?

    OK, so this might be small but I always sweat the small stuff. Lugnuts,regular length vs. the long shank. Does it matter? I've been told that the tacoma studs are short and that you should use the longer ones because there are more threads to grab onto. I just bought new wheels and cannot find the long shank in black. Do I just go with the short ones?

    I run these and have no issues. as long as you torque them properly youll be fine

    Oh, the pic shows the short ones but i see there are two sizes now. I guess these would work! Only problem is that I need 24.

    If you have factory off road wheels, you bought the wrong style lug nuts. You’d need the “mag style” that has washers on them.

    I am trying to figure out what type of SCS lugs work with the Baja wheel. Whether the standard or extended, and Mag wheels since it is TRD. I need to replace my lugs directly.

    They don't have to be, but the gorilla nuts are a pack of 20. Since they are splined i don't need a locker where i live, and would prefer to get 24 at a time. I just want to make sure i get the right ones for my wheels.

    For the TRD baja "beadlock" style wheels you need the M12x1.5 conical seat. Its the one in the middle of the 5 in the picture.

    Gorilla also makes lug nuts that work.
