FYI - The particular box I have has small feet, that are 1/2 high. I drilled the hole directly in the middle of the foot. I will take more pics.

This may work/help well. It’s called an Expansion nut. Covered in Rubber. Found at Ace Hardware.

I'll keep that in mind next time I mess with it. But it's the seal on the actual case that is letting rain in/out. I figured it out because I turned and a bunch of water came splashing out....

Who wants to talk Tires? I need a set of 8, for the truck and trailer.
I will be using this truck on FSRs, Light trails and a $hit ton of driving between places. I am only bumping up a size from stock, as I want to get some use out of the stock TRD Pro suspension.

    I have had:
BFG KO2s and KM2s (been there done that)
Toyo AT2 (I like Toyos big time, as they are a very round tire and ride out well at high speed).
General Grabber X3 (very impressed so far on the Tundra, very nice Offroad Tires, maybe the best I have had thus far).

All were fine tires, the Toyos wet slippery when wet. The KO2s are tough as nails and ride like a brick. Got Generals on my Tundra, but they may be a bit more aggressive;)

My initial thoughts were to try out the new Falken AT3s or put a set of General x3s on there, as they are quite for an aggressive tire.

    Thoughts?

I have 265/75/r16 Falken Wildpeak AT3 and love them. Have done well so far and I have had no issues with them. I have used them in rain, mud, gravel, dirt, rock, sand and of course street so far. I just did my 1st 5,000 mile rotation on them and they were all 4 at 11/32s (P rate come with 12/32nds) so I expect them to last. I would and will but these tires again. Oh, and pictures dont do them justice because they look much better in person.

If you're talking AT's, the Cooper AT3 is more grippy than the tread pattern implies. I have Goodyear Fierce Attitude MT's on my FZJ80 and they have done well with heavy use, handle speed fine, balance well and have lasted around 40,000 miles. I would buy them again for a mud tire.

I have Toyo MT's on my Taco in 285 70 flavor. They are heavy tires for the size and while grippy, have worn quickly.

My next set will likely be Cooper STT Pros.

Falkens had some talk about premature wear early on but I think that was sorted out and called a bad batch. I like mine for what its worth, good grip on wet pavement, not too stiff, look good. Haven't been able to get them off road much at all, but i think the consensus is decent off road. Definitely a good price point, especially if you need 8.

I appreciate the feedback. I forgot to mention that I drive like a bat out of hell on the road! I like to get that Taco rolling down the road at Hwy speeds.

Another to consider (depending on how much street vs trail driving you'll do) is the Goodyear TrailRunner. I had 265/75/16 on my Tacoma. They rode very well IMO on my commute to the office, and I didn't have any complaints on the service roads I drove down and such. I believe there's a C and a P version. I had the P rated set.

    Ah yeah!
This crazy guy has some stuff in a can/tube called Flex Shot. It also works well on certain applications.
