Unless it's a relatively easy install I won't purchase bc if I total truck or ever sell there's no way I'm giving away a twin turbo kit. No way I'll see 25% of my investment.

I installed lockers myself, but plan on buying an extra 3rd and clamshell for those reasons. They're worth a fortune out of the tacoma, but they're just a selling point in it no ROI

I'd be in at $6k but just barely, and it still makes me pucker thinking of dropping that much

Yeah 5-6k will be competative and thats what Matt said his kit will be. At 7k+ ide rather just go Supercharger for the responsiveness.

Roi and mods shouldn’t be uttered in the same sentence... actually, for good measure, probably not in the same book.

It’s gonna be at least this much for the base kit and another six months before it’s available...

Pretty sure you'll be paying 7k or more for that high tier kit you've been salivating over lol wouldn't be surprised anyway

I know the rest is their but i had to lend it to a friend :-(. The base model should be closer to 5-6k. After some thought i only really want 400-450 whp. I dont think ide need to top tier for that

Stock crank in these trucks is forged. Forged is forged. The rods we know aren't going to handle it well which is why mat is designing new rods and pistons specifically for the turbos (mainly on the higher kits because they make much more boost)

The only non-forged items in the engine are the Pistons themselves, most likely due to the diesel type piston slap noise forged pistons cause.

Sure if you are running 30 lbs of boost. Anyone looking for big numbers is going to be building things up anyway. Most people interested aren’t looking for huge gains… something moderate yet safe

Toyota typically uses high quality components and under rates them.
