    Shoot from the ground?

In all seriousness i have a VG6 epsilon on my 556 AR, its still awful to be next to even on a 556 but there is almost no vertical climb. They make a 308 version, I would run it in a heartbeat.

Surprise range trip. Threw the AR and 223 bolt gun into a bag and out the door I went! Shot at 8"x10" steel plates at 300 yds and paper at 100. Standing w/ Irons I was hitting the steel at 300 about half the time.

First 3 round group once I had a target out. Not the first shots out of the bolt gun today because I shot at the steel plates at 300yds while waiting for a cease fire.
Followed that up w/ a 10 round group, had a couple fliers but it was breezy and I'm running factory ammo, thats my excuse and I'm sticking w/ it.

He typically shoots off of a bench or ground, the Griffin muzzle brake is awesome at recoil reduction and vertical movement mitigation, he just doesn't want all the side blast, it's fine for the shooter but he didn't enjoy it when I shot, and he hunts with a few other guys.
I had a VG6 Gamma 65 for him for a little while but when we took it home he forgot to pack it in checked baggage and TSA took it from him.

We will probably end up with either just a thread protecter, A2, or this, but I'm not sure if it's Cali-Legal.

The Gamma is Cali-Legal because of this wording.

Yeah, I had to research to find Cali-Legal shit, I was surprised that they let the Griffin muzzle device in as it's threaded for a suppressor but they said it was indeed legal.

I didn't either, looking at them they seem very antiquated, a little shorter than my Optimus in the mid length configuration but a few ounces heavier (the Titanium version) or 2x the weight (for steel) for a 5.56 can.

I personally would've chosen many others before that one.

If the blast shield is legal, I would just run that. It's nice to have options.

Sure do, but it's been a while since she's been out of the safe. Nothing wrong with her though.

Here's my basic bitch (Not loaded either.)

Any suggestions on a better handguard? The one on it right now doesn't have I was gonna go with a Leapers UTG Pro (If they were cheaper) or a Magpul Moe. I can't decide if I want a conventional handguard, or a free float.

Go free float if you have the option. There are large accuracy gains to be made there.

What's your budget? I like free float. I use a Ghost Firearms M-Lok handguard for my AR9. Works great, looks good. Not crazy expensive.

    Looks great!

Primary Arms has a new Prism optic out in 1x that might work awesome on that. I intend to get one for my AR9.

I'd like to keep it under $100, under $50 would be best though. I don't want any China crap though.
