pulling clamshell isn't hard, hardest part is the damn axles coming out to me.

ship it in a hard shell container, I believe that's what they ship transmission and everything else in.

or pay ECGS core charge and use their container to ship yours back in. Once they receive your clam and 3rd they'll refund you

I was just making a general observation for those thinking about going this route.

The air locker definitely seems to engage better than the e-locker. I’d rather have ARB for sure

Any local bama fans want to buy some tickets for the game this weekend? Face value, no profit to me. Section U4 FF? $90 a piece, 2 tickets?

oh right yes, it would def be easier if it was e-locker since they readily have those up there.

your locker is the wildcard. I dont know how hard it is to pull one out and put one in. Since you have another daily driver, some down time on the taco could be tolerated waiting on parts if you had to. I dunno. will they give any credit towards your ARB locker? if you bought a new locker, is yours worth anything to them being used?

don't know. waiting on email response now about it. I mean I'm sure I could find ways to ship all my shit to them, but it would be MUCH nicer to have all their packaging and stuff from the get go to send it to them in.

10-4. if they can give decent credit on your ARB, just have them ship you all new stuff with a new ARB, then send your junk back

Better swap out that 4.0 for a steam engine then. That'd be a first.

i can't refresh fast enough to keep up with thread.

Ask ECGS for shipping details and how you should prep. i'm saying wooden crate padded.

Leave truck on jackstands for possibly 2 weeks waiting on you stuff to get delivered ECGS to do their part and ship back.

No way around having truck on jackstands unless you're going to do some work yourself.

I do too, with a passion. but you got air plumbing with the ARB's. ive seen that stuff give people trouble as well. (the plumbing, not the locker itself) personal preference I guess

well that was R&P, so there's that. Also without a doubt the ARB is stronger than the Elocker, it's just more hassle too though.

yeah I'm not worried about leaving the truck out of commission a bit, no biggie there.

if they'll send me packaging stuff it makes this process simple. I remove mine, put it in their stuff, then they do lots of work and send it back, and I just put it on the truck. done.

mine spewed some oil, ARB said it's from not using enough. I was skeptical but I couldn't argue as I let my truck sit for so long when I was busy. It makes sense that the orings get dry and allow seepage. ARB told me that I just need to activate the lockers once a week in the driveway to keep things solid. so i've been doing that.

edit:waiting to see if that helps for about a month or so.

What are you asking? Their business model is based on people shipping parts to them to work on.

It's not hard at all. I've sent both of mine to them for gears.

read further comments. I just mean the shipping process. I don't/have never shipped stuff if it wasn't a letter in an envelope. I'd pay them upfront, wait a couple days on their shipping materials, then put my stuff in and ship it to them.
