So... this is what life looks like, on the day after we get back from hunting, every week for 6 weeks.

This is just the garage. There's dishes, utensils, coffee maker, camp stove etc to clean in the kitchen.

Ok... so I am really torn on this weekend. I'm not even thinking about running 2x to Corral Hollow, so I would be riding with John or Josh.

But here's the thing. I said it would depend on how frustrating (un-frustrating) opening weekend deer/bear hunting went.

I had a 3x buck in my binos at 150 yards this weekend. I was in a prime spot that gets very little traffic. I didn't close the deal. No one's fault but my own, but there were influences that caused it, that wont be a factor if I go back. But the moon is way too full this weekend to be a "great" weekend. Jen is exhausted and needs a break.

This buck is fricken haunting me. Big body, 3x, in full velvet... I fucking had him... till I watched him and his 2 buddys roll over the ridge they were on.

My GF and I went up to SNF Sunday and tried to get to Bourland Trestle but we couldn’t reach it. We took the road on the right of my map and it just dead ends into a cool campsite long before the trestle (I dropped a pin on the right of the screenshot), then tried to use the road that crosses between my highlighted options and the uphill climb from the river looked sketch. But we got a cool photo from the middle of the river at least. Anyone know if you can get there via truck?
    FB8DB067-4575-42D6-BCFB-1726A9B44A52.jpg 787F3AA8-9937-414B-A9F7-81F5D7FC686F.jpg 315455FA-2F01-4C78-815B-6AE611B0EB03.jpg

We turned around in the river and climbed back up the mountian and came across two guys in an F150 considering coming down the road to the river. I had the distinct pleasure in telling them their truck was not capable enough with its low running steps, street tires, and 2 wheel drive. :)

Was the water flowing or stagnant? Trying to find a decent place to camp this weekend.
