I go back and forth between 4.56 and 4.88's all the time.
    I'm currently stock on 32's.
I had 33" mud terrains and the truck was just sooo slow. It's still slow as hell even with the smaller lighter tires.
Plus it's like yours - 1000 pounds of armor, winch, camper shell, solar, dual batteries, fridge, 10 gallon water tank, 19 gallon aux fuel tank, all the beer and so on.

Yea I feel ya. Mine rationale for 5.29 is I drive like a grandma on pavement anyways so speed isn't a factor and if it's a steep decline where I can go actually fast I got neutral don't I? Gravity will be my motor! The stock gears do fine on flat ground but going to work uphill is 3rd 4th 3rd 4th 3rd 4th for an hour and a half unless I break the speed limit.....which I don't do....

It's the hills that get me. Luckily I only hit a couple tiny inclines on my way to work. My truck does about 50% of the daily driving. I have a moto that's the other 50% daily driver. Between the two I average 35 mpg...16mpg for the truck and 46mpg for the bike. Actually I'm riding less so it's probably more like 28-30mpg. I used to do about 1,000 miles a month on the bike. That's too much for me.

It's the mountains and elevation that really get me. It's sooo slow going up hills. I've had times where I'm doing 25mph at max speed. I'd be cool if were just slow but it's kinda ridiculous sometimes.

Regear is looking better and better. I just need to make up my mind on 4.56 or 4.88.

I usually cruise at about 70mph. Anything faster and it uses all the gas.

Are you 5 speed or auto? If say 4.56 for 5 speed and 4.88 for auto. Heard those are the best for the most comfortable DD experience.

OK. those clamps look like my ARE top pieces (that nick has now). I liked them and they were solid. Just need to find the channel part.

Depends on what brand cap to some degree.

This is the LEER setup. The fiberglass bulges out and has predrilled holes the bolt drops through.
