It means you just didn't pay enough. I bought my entire doom room out after the other roommate was a no show.

I have to take 15 Units of Math, 8 Units of Physics, and 3 Units of Chemistry on top of the 67 units of Computer Science and Engineering courses to get my degree.

I have the most expensive on-campus living option. Single occupancy in the newest living complex on campus.

The cheapest one is $13,000 a year, and that's a single bedroom in a hall with two people. You share one bathroom with the entire floor, and one kitchen with the entire building.

My supervisor tried to set me up with his cousin, a preacher's daughter. She was really good looking, but too hardcore into church. Church this church that. Yeah I'm not having it.

I wouldn't be at SFSU if I got into UCD or Irvine. My first choice was Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. SFSU wasn't my first, second, or even 10th choice.

I applied to every single UC in the state besides Berkeley and LA, and I only got into UC Merced.

I started life as a dual engineering major, so I did all the maths like linear algebra, differential equations, did the physics (static, dynamic, quantum mechanics), etc... Then I switched to geology. Seemed like a waste until I realized I already had a Quantitative Geophysics emphasis in the bag with all that. Just needed the rocks classes.

Keep in mind I go to a commuter school in the middle of a big city, space is limited and real estate is valuable. Texas is gigantic, and there's plenty of good schools out there. Texas A&M, St. Edwards, Texas Tech, etc etc.

I wanted to stay local so I only applied to schools in California.

I didn't get into Cal Poly either. As it turns out, it was for the better since I ended up in Geology, Cal Poly doesn't have that good of a rock program. Or at least it didn't back then...

I'm old, but not that old. Jesus. Yes I've seen it.

Not really my kind of show though. Most of what I know of the show came from the Mythbusters crossovers, lol

I know someone that got a full ride to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and dropped out after the first year, because he missed his girlfriend back home. When he told me that, I wasn't sure if I needed to slap him or his girlfriend. The girlfriend was maybe 5.5 on a good day and works a McJob.

Just the idea of teaching creationism in their "science" classes and the whole separation of church and state thing...

nevermind, I might get banned for bringing it up, lol.

God I am sick of these people walking in front of me, stopping me in my tracks, asking me if I want to join Bible study.

I'm Catholic. I went to a Catholic school for twelve years. I love Jesus.

But Jesus Christ a person can only have so much Jesus in their lives.

Navy ship welder. Do it bro. Get good at stick pipe and you'll be set for life. Benefits out the wazooo when you get out. Pay isnt the best, but you wont exactly have hobbies to spend it on.

Ouch. Cal Poly is one of those schools that's just impossible to get into, let alone get a FULL RIDE scholarship to.

I'd slap the both of them.

Here's a college tip for you guys who will eventually have or already have kids. If you have a daughter, get her to pick up golf. It's an easy way to get a full ride to basically any school she wants.

One of my wife's coworkers daughter is at Cal Poly (iirc) and got a full ride. The dad says "she's not even that good" lol
