I am going back to 33's so will be selling a set of 4 Toyo OC AT2 with roughly 6k on them. They are 265/75/16 so 1" bigger than stock, by far they are the best tire I have tried on my Taco (4 sets so far). Will be trying a set of 255/85/16 MasterCraft courser cxt. If they disappoint I will probably look back to the AT2 in a 295/75/16 (33.5") tire. I also just rotated the Toyos at 5k. Let me know if you are interested, the cxt's should be here next week. Forgot to mention, they are C rated so they have the deeper lugs but lighter than the E rated.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I appreciate the offer. I do like those, have had them on two trucks. Hard to beat the Toyos overall. I am having a hard time with this, as they will also being going on the trailer as well.
The Toyos ride smooth but I might want a bit more aggressive than that. I was sliding all over the place at my mtn house in my last set of Toyos. It was a very slippery incline.
I am towards the general x3, as I have them on my Tundra. But I think they are gonna ride tougher than I want. The price of the Falkens is tempting, but I wonder how they hold up when you start airing down and twisting them on the rocks.

I had cooper at3s on my truck in high school, took them through hell and they did well. Not a mud tire but with enough wheel speed they clean out decent

A little of this and a little of that.
I’d swap the wheels/tires combo from truck to truck and see how it looks.

I'll try both of those if Plano doesn't do anything for me. Going to see what I can do, but it's not like the truck is going anywhere soon :frusty:

@BYJOSHCOOK Here ya go, this is what my buddy wrote back. He has serious chops as a mechanic.

“If you had a torch, you could heat it up CAREFULLY! Other than that, just penetrating oil. The line will probably have to be replaced.”

    Hope this helps somewhat.

Tired of listening to your girl saying you stink after a few days in the bush?!? Spray her in the face then hit the showers! This little jammer is sweet! It’s called The Road Shower, and yes you can make one for a lot less money.

I had a set of 38 TSL swappers in high school, I can’t believe I didn’t die driving that Bronco the way I did. My buddies called it Mucho Bronco!
It made the Readers Rigs page in ‘96, in 4Wheel drive magazine!!

In high school/college I had a YJ, ran 35" mickey thompson baja claw non-radials.... those things sounded like an airplane taking off. Louder than the 4 cyl could ever be, haha

Yeah that's what I'm going to try tonight. Just got fed up with it last night so I threw in the towel. Worst case is I can get a new line from Vatozone for $125 instead of $400 something from Toyota. Also will try Acetone and ATF mix to see if that'll do anything

I am checking with my close friend that runs Toyota South (parts, service and collision) on that part for you. Just so you know what the bro price is ;) should you wanna get the oem part for a better price, but still pricey :(

That'd be awesome because well OEM but yeah I know it's still going to hurt. Plus at Vatozone there is 20% off $100+ and I have a $20 rebate so it's looking like an $86 part which isn't bad if I can't get it to come off tonight

I didn't lose any MPG on my 2nd Gen when I lifted it. Literally no noticeable difference and I track it with Fuelly. You'll take a hit going any size bigger on the tires of course, but you already knew that from your 1st Gen. Did you decide to keep it?

So far, just lifting my 1st gen I lost about 1-2 mpg

Got a rack, bumper, trailer or empty space on our rig that needs a bracket to hold almost anything you wish.

I found these at Ace Hardware. I was looking for something I could use on my Prinsu Rack to mount my Maxtrax to. Yes I could drill a hole right thru my bars, but I wanted to give these a shot as they were cheap and looked interesting for endless applications.

    .
If you can find aeroKroil Kano brand penetrating oil, it's the best store bought product I've ever used. Usually find it at hvac parts house or order online. I've seen it free fan hubs exposed to 25yrs of corrosion.

I probably saw that rig as I had a subscription to that mag for most of my middle/high school years. The readers rigs section was my favorite. Always looked forward to the yearly readers rig championship.
