I haven’t lived in F-ville since ‘99 but I loved it. Small town feel with mountains and good trails close by, lots of outdoor stuff to do. Sure the current NWA TW folks will chime in.

If I had to say anything bad about Fayetteville it would be how crowded it is and how many drunks there are on game weekends. But if you stay away from the university and Dickson Street you'll probably be okay. When I was there I lived on campus so that wasn't really an option.

I'll second Zach's point about the schools. My wife and I live where we do because there are three good school districts in the area. We don't have any kids yet but my wife is a teacher and good school districts make for a better work environment. If we had to pick anywhere else in AR to live it would be Fayetteville for that reason.

Fayetteville is a great place to be. There's got to be a reason the area is growing so much!

Local News Story - A seven-year old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents. The boy cried and said that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Arkansas Razorbacks, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

I'm selling my 2016+ Tacoma Mobtown Offroad Front IFS Skid Plate (3/16" steel), purchased in July of '17. Weight is 65 lbs. You will need to have it power coated or can rattle can it yourself (I recommend the latter because it's easier and cheaper for touch ups). I paid $304.59 including shipping and tax. If interested, PM me. I'm selling because I'm going with aluminum skids.

I think it will be a long time before the cost of living gets to that point, if it ever does.
    We're a baseball school now I guess.

We might win one more game, IF we can beat Tulsa. LSU and Auburn both looked great Saturday and what an awesome game, so at least we have great football to watch as long as its not when we play them.

On a positive not, ticket prices should drop and should be able to get good seats for a reasonable price.

    Yeah.
    Dang, that was fast!

Yup, and I saw your post over in the MTB forum as well. I've only ridden Mt. Sequoyah trails down in Fayetteville since my daughter lives right next to them, but would like to check out Mt. Kessler. Mt. Sequoyah trails seem to be pretty old and designed more for hiking than biking. Some challenging climbs, but I had a lot of fun. Haven't done Devil's Den yet either. With 3 great choices here locally, it's tough to make myself drive very far to ride!

Speaking of Fayetteville, Razorbacks and baseball, my daughter hit a former Razorback baseball player's car on Friday when parking somewhere down near Dickson. Didn't look like a lot of damage to the other vehicle, but the estimate came back at about $1300, ugh. Can't argue with it, though, looks entirely reasonable. I just ordered her a new bumper cover (hers looked way worse than his) for $50 off of RockAuto (plus $150 to ship) and will fix hers myself. Probably just pay him cash and keep insurance out of it.

That 500yd shot I was talking about, finally found the pictures. Second picture is a zoomed in version and you can kind of see some orange and that’s me around the spot where the deer was.
