Mine has a slight hesitation from cruising to WOT as well. Doesn’t do it all the time, but it’s noticeable when it happens. I think it’s UCON/tune related.

 

Just so I got this right.....I bought my coolant today based on what the first page stated was the amount the CSF held, 120oz. So I bought 1gallon as that will get me just over the 120oz. My question is.....that’s roughly all I’ll need? I thought I’d be dumping a little more than that into it....

 

I want to say I used 1.5 gallons ish when I installed mine. Don’t forget you will loose coolant from the hoses and what not

 

When you disconnect the hoses, you’ll drain more than just what’s in the radiator. But if you have the ability to catch most of what drains out of the existing fluid, your gallon of new coolant will be more than enough.

 

And/or if your coolant has been in the truck for a few years it's a good time for a refresh. Just drain out as much as possible and have 2 gallons ready. Then you know your fresh!

Yes my plan was to drain it all out (minus the s/c) and replenish with new. So 2 gallons should do it then....good to know. Back to the store I go!

Have any of you guys run an AEM temp gauge into your radiator? If so how did you connect your electronic sensor? Into the drain plug?

 

Don't that also make an inline adapter, for the radiator hose?

 

You want something like this to mount the sensor into. You splice it into your radiator hose. You want it in the hose that feeds coolant out of the engine and into the radiator, so you know how hot the engine is running.

Yeah, I’ve been looking. I wasn’t able to finish the install on my temp gauge because of that today. I’m on the hunt for a 1.75” sensor adaptor. They seem rather hard to come by....
