I saw that group camping is available on Saturday October 20. As always you need a Wisconsin state park pass for vehicle.

I saw the group site was $48.95
    ($40 camping and $8.95 fee)

    It’s location is Door county

I'm looking at boulder lake campgrounds since it's right in the area of Lakewood/loana, but it says the group sites are all non-reservable (apparently not a real word!?) So, I'll keep looking. I like the National Forest because they have all of those rustic roads

It looks like a lot of the coolest places are first come first served. The primitive sites I found on Friday and other similar sites are all like that. It's not a bad deal during the off peak season probably. You just show up and set up camp and drive to a pay station once you are settled.

That might not be the greatest for a trip like this, though.

Can everyone who is interested in a camping trip please post something here so we know how much space we need?

I'm thinking sometime in October so maybe post suggested dates that work or don't work

Just noticed my tag in here from last month! Whoops. Been working like 72hr weeks since July so probably would have been a pass with work anyway. More money for truck mods (jk, debt payment lol).

Hey guys. Giving you guys dibs and would prefer a local pick-up anyway. If any of you are interested in a Cali-Raised 32” light bar (hidden bumper mount style) for a 3rd gen I’d be willing to part with it for cheap. Can’t verify fit on 2nd gen. Works great just replacing with MobTown recovery bar. Crappy pic but you get the picture... easy install

    I’m in Sauk co.

Looks like an awesome campsite and one I would bring the kayaks to. Did you keep the coordinates on this one?

I’d be interested in a camping trip up there on a Saturday. Give me an excuse to buy packer tickets for the next day too!

Governor Thompson park in Crivitz, wi has plenty of spots
(non electric) $16 per night up to 6 people per site ..as many tents but only 6 people.

Also every vehicle must have a state park pass. $8 per day or $28 for year.
(This is separate from any national forest pass if need for Nicolet

I was told oct 13 (Saturday)will be the last day showers will be available and sites are open for reservations. She told me walk-in sites should be the most convenient for us . All electric sites are already reserved
    https://wisconsinstateparks.reserve...groundDetails.do?contractCode=WI&parkId=62601

Boulder Lake Campground also has plenty available mid October (Saturday 10/13)

I'm going to try to post the location here, but I'm not really great with fancy computer stuff. I might just plan on heading to this area on Thursday, October 11, and see if I can get the site. They're first come first serve, so I'll just keep looking if I can't get the one I posted. There's tons of campgrounds in the area there. Facilities are pretty basic for the most part, so plan on roughing it if you decide to join

Here's the location, if I didn't screw anything up.

I see about 3-4 people are interested.

I'm shooting for the weekend of October 12-14.

I’ll see what I can do on making it. Probably won’t have cell to communicate up in the north woods . Anyone have cb or handheld?

I have Uscellular and had sketchy service there. Any major network should be semi reliable in the area. Of course, a back up plan isn't a bad idea

I’m down to join, I’ll keep updated on the posts here so I know what happens. I’m familiar with some of the campgrounds up north, more near door county as I’ve been going there since I was a kid.

If anyone has trouble seeing the location, let me know. Also, this spot will probably be great for a smaller group, but if many people decide to join, we might have to find a bigger spot. It looked like there might be room for 5-6 tents maybe

Can we get a role call of who's in/out/maybe?

    In!
