Off pleasantburg drive, 5 mins mightve been a bit of an exaggeration.

Took the brake drums off to inspect. Passenger was OK. Driver didn't want to come off and when I got it out far enough, both springs and retainer clips along with the little forked pin that goes in the top cylinder all fell out. Reassembly was also a pain for the driver side.

Test drove and seemed fine, parking brake is extra stiff now, only 2 or 3 clicks instead of 6 or 7.

Brake job in the near future.

 

Don't most Tacoma's come with two sets of keys?

It did! I've had drums apart before, but just being able to see the nice pictures before hand to jog my memory was nice. I'll certainly be looking back on it when I do my brakes in the near future.

 

My effing A/C is out on my truck...AGAIN!!! It's really starting to piss me off.

A/C light is blinking; blows warm air. Just had it at the dealer to replace a leaking a/c valve; dealer replaced repaired, then replaced EVERYTHING last year.

 

I’d be pretty pissed...especially with the heat. Lemon law?

 

Probably not A/C was good to go until last year spring. Not even under warranty anymore.

This is what I am thinking. Purchased an extended warranty- we'll see if it is actually covered. Wife has to take it in- she made an appointment at our current dealer; I have a flight to ATL in the AM.

Mine came with 3. But I think the point was that there's no cylinder for a key to go into.

 

Dude was working on @SGTCap brakes at AOP last year making it look easy.

Can't take that out to the desert for sure! Hope you get it fixed up!
