    The Steens mountains are a gem of the state. I enjoy them and wish they were closer, did you go to heart mountain as well?

    Ah, trust me when I say that I really wanted to see that too. You are right though, Steens is a magical place! I am definitely going back, will be taking my wife next time too. The more recent trip was just with my younger daughter and I. It was a really great camping adventure for both of us!
