Recently bought my 2009 tacoma; last night I realized that hazard light switch is not illuminated? Is this the way it should be?

I tried the “search” and came empty handed.

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Thank you!

Excuse my further ignorance, I assume the picture on then top right is the fuse panel inside the cabin?

Top right appears to be a pinout of the harness connector. This way you can see if the correct wires have power.

    Yup!
H7 is the connector. There are other systems that tie into the connector.

I should add that the switch works as it should. Once pressed the hazard lights engage. It’s is just not illuminated hence at night it is hard to locate in the event of an emergency.

    Thanks, after some research:

    Remove HVAC control panel trim
Remove 4 of 10mm bolts holding radio
Pull radio unit and panel to access hazard lights switch

    Thanks again.
