Anyone carrying extra bolts, etc on the trail? I typically carry some maintenance type items (fluids, etc.), but not bolts or anything like that. Curious what everyone else is carrying and how you decide what sizes to take if you are.

Yeah I carry a bunch of zip ties and a drill. Torch could be handy though.

If you wheel with enough gear heads you don’t have to take anything

I believe THE most impotent thing to carry is a spare belt and tools to change it....and belt diagram..!!!!

Without it, you is NOT going very far..! Good luck getting a flatbed 4x4 Tow truck in the bush.

Well I do have a winch w/front semi hidden bumper, hi lift jack, shovel, axe, jumper cables, oversized battery, recovery rope, shackle. But no truck parts, so I can always barter!

This, plus duct tape, hose clamps, a piece of rubber sheet or old hose, wire and zip ties.

Any idea how much a spare belt is worth when you are 50 miles into the bush, (by 4x4) moose hunting and a branch gets up in there and rips the serpentine belt.....You go nowhere.!!

You may not see anyone for a week.....let alone a 4x4 flat bed tow truck.... Cannot over rate it's importance, in the "boonies"...

I was told that if I bought a Toyota, I would never need spare parts.
    Just gas-n-go.

Usually a extra lighter. Maybe a gallon or two of water. Depending on what state a extra glass piece, does that count?

I so need to get out with you folks, I was pissed that it didn't work out. I told my wife and family, I am going to make one of these happen soon, no matter what is up.

Speaking of which, I am going to be vermont at least on Sunday of Columbus day weekend. As it gets closer I may be looking for some directions to increase enjoyment of the drive.
