Absolutely, can also get that brake line in too if you want. If you do, bring 2qts brake fluid and a can of brake clean.

 

Hoping to get some landscaping done, but the landscapers are not liking that it only rains on the weekends.

Whining (verb) - "to complain in a feeble or petulant way."
Bitching (also verb) - "to express distaste or displeasure."

In action, the two look quite similar but are actually very different. Case in point (using the way-back machine to my combat comm days) - we were recently arrived to our deployed location and had broken out our pallets to begin setup. However, there was much we were dependent upon and actions that needed to be accomplished, and until those things were done we could not get our own work finished. We gathered into a circle for some "brain storming" - listing out all the fucked-up things that we needed to un-fuck so we could complete our jobs and get some much-needed sleep (we were already at 24 hours straight effort at this point).

The colonel in charge comes up and tells us to "quit whining and get back to work."

MSgt Snuffy (name redacted) turns to the colonel and tears into him. "We're not whining, sir, we're bitching. There's a difference."

The colonel, unimpressed, snarkily replied "Oh, there is? Please enlighten me."

MSgt Snuffy doesn't break stride. "Whining is where you sit around complaining about all the other problems you expect people to solve for you. Bitching is where you make a list of all the problems you have to first solve and people you have to around, over, through, or KILL in order to get your work done." He turned to face the colonel straight on. "The difference is important, and you should have learned to recognize it by now."

The colonel through up his hands. "By God, I'm sorry and you're absolutely right. PLEASE don't let me get in your way or on your list!"

True to his word, he stayed out of our way until we were done. He actually woke me up from where I'd fallen asleep under a table somewhere around hour 48 to let me know the bus was here to take us to the hooch and finally get some real rest. No one died, and a colonel learned a valuable lesson that day.

 

May as well throw that in. can you shoot me a rough quote via PM so I can set aside some money? including the $50 for the lines (iirc)

I vote for the latter. The former assumes that a good deed actually gets done; a very rare occurrence these days...

 

True that. A group I'm part of went out of our way to help someone a year ago, and just last week he showed up Google Reviews talking some insane crap about us that never happen.

Crazy people remain a mystery to uncrazy people.
