Yup. That's really the only reason I don't care to climb it again

    Didn't say "we".....some made it.....and weren't intimidated by it.

    Draw your own conclusions.

Look what I started lol. I was 33's and no armor. Now 34's and sliders/skids but still no lockers and 2 years more experience. I think I could do it. Guess I gotta go back now.

Ah yes it also started raining after I made it up the first ledge, another reason we backed back down and boogied out through some private resort. My bad.

Just realize there's a trail going all the way up and out. That tells you this much....people do go on through....the trail doesnt end half way....just be careful and stay as far to the left as you possibly can going up the 2 big ledges.

It can be done without a locker. It's just a lot EASIER with one. Watch some of the videos of people who dont make it. 9 times in 10 they single track on the rear end and spin out. Locked rear gets you past the tricky spots without so much traction loss.

Thanks for the advice. If the narrows stay wide enough to sneak through I'll hit the ledges again this fall. I've got a small beginner group running around the area in October after that I'm free to play.

Be careful. It's VERY narrow in spots, hence the name. Just worse. Like drop a tire and you're gonna feel it the next day kinda worse.

Just take the trail down into the valley and climb back out on the other end. That's what we did

Or dead. There's that option too.

The trail from Rt 3330 in Zoe headed north (Walker Creek Trail) is technically closed and no traffic allowed. I'm sure people are going anyway.

Let me know when you're going. If schedule is free i'm up for one more trip there this year.
Fun trail. If I dont run out of money....our FJ Cruiser may be done by then. I've got 2 more rides on the agenda. 1st and last weekends of October.

Dry, you can start and stop when you want. Wet, you have to keep moving. Hammering it hurts. Slow and steady....keep tires on the ground and hooked up. Avoid bouncing.

Gonna have quite a few non-Tacomas this year. Maybe even a couple Jeeps. You'd be more'n welcome
