WTF are you talking about here? Am I wanting 1.05 to come out? Of course, but if there was no more development 1.04r, I could be happy.

Just playin bro, keeping the itch alive. I don't even know what 1.04r feels like, my truck runs fine on 1.04, just waiting for the next big jump.

1.04R 91 for M/T is ok I guess.... it's not as smooth as 04B13 but does have the midrange torque bump.

I've noticed the quick bog ~2K RPM when not up to temp as well.

It doesn't ping/knock on my truck like 1.04A 91 did, but then again it doesn't seem to have the same power gains either.

Meh, waiting out for 1.05 like a good addict :goingcrazy::goingcrazy:

Agree to disagree. To me, it's as smooth as 04B13 and so the truck feeling light and accelerating very nicely is a super nice bonus. Haven't noticed any bog either

Here we go with the honey badger vs stepchild again lol... Meh, just relating my experience.

I can't say 1.04R 91 is as smooth as 04B13. When into the throttle moderate - heavy, the truck ramps up the power delivery in noticeable steps (I'm not talking about the 3500RPM VTEC like jump).

If I understand correctly, 1.04R is not really a fully optimised tune - but rather something for new OV customers who are running the recently released OEM calibrations (TSBs). Oh, and for ppl like myself who decided to ditch old shitty code!

Anyway, not actually complaining about 1.04R 91 - just my thoughts on it. I'll take it until 1.05 comes out.

Some may ask, well why didn't you just stay on 1.04A 91 M/T?

    04B10. That's why.

That's why it should be a 2.0 release. 1.05 makes it sound like it's just a handful of bug fixes.

Well, there will be an option for current OVT owners for the TT kit, implying that current owners will not pay for the cost of the tune and/or hardware (Mat said that we would just go into Flash Manager and download the boost tune and you'd already have the hardware from this tune; more details to come in the future no doubt), and Mat said that the turbos won't be available for purchase until likely around christmas time. Wouldn't hurt to get tuned in the meantime

The question then becomes if you want to boost your truck or not. Not everyone does

Either way, you will still be buying the tune. If you by the tune now, then you don't pay for the tune when you buy the turbo kit. Or rather you just pay $600 less...

Someone said something about ECT. I have always wondered (with the engine transitioning between both direct injection or port injection) if the ECT button not only kept it in a gear longer but also switched to direct injection only. Does anyone know? OVTune?

    @OVTune

    Had a few questions ..

-How does ECT function with the turbos?
-How does boost work with the simulated atkinson cycle?
-Will E85 be an option at time of release day?
-will i be able to switch between E85 and 91octane on the go? Similiar to flex fuel vehichles?

If 1.05 is even 10% improvement over 1.04r, I’ll be thoroughly impressed.
For those that can’t wait for 1.05, I highly recommend 1.04r to at least hold you over. Now I actually want to drive the truck.

I’m sorry that I sound like a broken record

Is this for 1.05? Any luck with getting the ECU's for programming?

    Thanks
