    Ahhh... the arc radius. Was wondering why you were putting so much mental horsepower into turning radius.

    Also installed a Pioneer AVH-1440NEX which was a complete and total pain in the f'n ass. Don't have radio reception but will try to solve the another day and bluetooth autoplay is even worse than it was w/ the stock head unit.

    When you say as the wheel turns, do you mean left to right like doing a U-turn, or up and down like when the suspension cycles? I'm guessing the former.

    If so, the circumference of the circle is 2[pi]R with R being the radius from the steering knuckle to the outside corner of the wheel. Gimme a second and I'll solve.

    Well that’s the answer to the question. Haha what I’m meaning is turn to full lock and it would sit 1/4” back from where it is now since I’m assuming your concerned with it rubbing.

    Going to a narrower spacer would shorten the "stroke" of the wheel's radius within the wheel well. If you're experiencing any rubbing or are close to rubbing, that would be minimized by the smaller spacer. The bigger the spacer, the wider the arc of travel. The other thing to consider is how close the tire is to the upper control arms. Certain combinations of wheels backspacing, wide tires, and different brands of control arms could cause potential interference. Minor problem but common enough.

    @DarthPow

    Your arc radius increased by approx .7 inches with a 1.25" spacer. The base value of 10 inches was eyeballed off my truck just now. 15.3 inches is a 265/70R16 tire diameter/2

    [IMG]

    The extra 1.25 inches only changes one of the perpendicular legs of a right triangle. To find the change at the outside edge of the tire like @DarthPow asked, you have to find the hypotenuse delta as calculated above ^

    yea, the former, as in doing a U-turn.

    This is what I'm getting at. I don't think I'm anywhere near the UCAs, mostly just concerned about rubbing the inside of the wheel well.

    Ok, this is what I'm looking for. Is the .7 figure compared to no spacer? or a 1" spacer? also the link to the pic you posted is broken, So I don't know what it is.

    I know, logically, that having a smaller spacer would reduce the wheel's arc/radius as it goes through its turn, I've just been trying think about how much difference it would make practically speaking to go from 1.25" down to 1".

    and I very much appreciate everyone's contributions, and help!

    .7 inches is the arc radius difference between no spacer and a 1.25" spacer.

    VV Work now? VV
