Yeah lots of 2-1 hard shifts. I've read on here that a lot of Tacoma's come from the factory low in trans fluid. That might be something to ask about.

mine has : "EG1811 Reprogram ECM (PCM)" under the cause section of my complaint, which corresponds to the 062 update, correct? My problem is below in the parts section it says it updated per the 0077-16 TSB. Like others have said, I'm guessing that last language is incorrect and I got the latest update...

I got mine done today, part only took about 4 days to get. I find that it's back ordered that long to be suspicious.

Stock suspension, stock wheels, stock bumper, stock, stock, stock, dammit!
I called an independent toyota shop today and asked if he could get it sooner. He checked and said no. Where are you? I am in the Houston area. Lots of 3rd gens here.

This is a long thread so sorry if it came up already, but does this affect all V6 AT or is it specific to certain VINs?

I'm also not certain if this fixes what I experience which is basically a momentary "stall" when I try to accelerate hard while at speed. Also happens sometimes from a stop. Taking off from 0 onto a freeway for example, if I try to accelerate hard it sometimes is sluggish to get up to speed then suddenly takes off once the RPMs get up to about 3000. Other times it will take off more or less normally without the "stall". Does this sound like what everyone else is describing?

Started hours later from the tsb dealer visit . Wasn’t like this prior to dealer visit . It’s not slipping or revving / not moving which is common for low atf . It is IMO downshifting at a higher rpm than it should be if that makes sense .

Mine had the hesitation off the line. TSB 62 is what I got specifically and it's gone now. Either TSB should fix it though.

I get it as I'm rolling to a stop. When I'm almost stopped, it's like I get rear ended by someone going 2mph. Just like a little thump from behind. It's shifting hard into 1st from either 2nd or 3rd.

I've never had a tsb that reverted. Shift delay gone, shift flair gone, and currently hesitation is gone. Once the computer has been updated, I don't see how the behavior could return which makes me think the learning is what is throwing people off, not the TSB.

Anyone notice that the new calbration I'd is the same as an older one? I wonder how many people went to the dealer only to be told they already had it got mad at the dealer because they thought they were lying?

It's kind of insulting to the word learning.

The cable and Techstream will let you reset the “keep alive memory” / adaptations which would accomplish the same thing without the possibility of bricking the ECM.

I expect at least one more update for this powertrain but each one has improved it.

No sir, they really haven’t. Stop by an auto parts store if you don’t have a scan tool and verify you actually have the latest. Or get an AL 319 cheap on eBay and you can do it yourself.
