Hey ya'll!:hattip: I just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions on a good dealership in VA or surrounding areas. I'm looking to get a Taco hopefully within the next few months.

The only reason why I'm asking here is because I value word of mouth more than trying to look online lol
The truck I have now..well,long story short,I got my first taste of getting the run around. I went into a Hall Nissan just for shits and giggles, and ended up coming home with my Frontier..but wasn't truly comfortable with the monthly price or the 'This price ends by tomorrow,so it's now or never' spew. I didn't have any idea that it wasn't a 4x4,and of course,it wasn't my dream Toyota,BUT I made an adult mistake and signed on the dotted line.

They mishandled the paperwork twice and ended up selling my traded in Mazda 3 before they even sent the check to the previous dealership..which led to my father(police officer) getting involved.

Anyways,is there someone who can shout out a salesperson or a dealership that is up front, honest and doesn't bullshit? I'm willing to drive quite a ways, even out of state if necessary to make sure that this time,I get the right truck:mudding:

It would be a couple hour hike but Nelson in Stanley town would be straight up and let you know what they can and cant do . Id go as far as to call and send a few pictures of what you have and get a ball park figure and see if they can come within your budget . They do have a few used ones as well as new . Let me know what happens and best of luck

Ourisman Toyota In Fairfax VA. I’ve bought many cars/trucks, but they did really good. Ask for TD, no sales tactics used, came back that evening to buy the truck. They didn’t care if I bought then or next month, they just cared I bought from them and built a relationship to do just so.

    My .02 cents... and suggestion.

I bought mine at Casey Toyota in Williamsburg, which isn't too far from you. Best experience I have EVER had buying a vehicle.

Kind of a weird question, but did you guys finance through the dealership,or through your bank? I've been back and forth with it. I know it's normally whomever can give you the better rate, which in my case will most likely be Navy Federal that I bank with. Didn't know if there were any perks to using the dealership

I used to sell cars so I can tell you this: Finance it through the dealer. Banks that the dealer work with a lot will sometimes pay a kickback to the dealer, and the dealer can use this kickback to lower the price of the vehicle.

So unless you can get a better deal through your bank that is going to give you a significantly lower payment, finance through the dealer.

I got pre-approval from Navy Fedat 10%, my credit is alright but not excellent. I walked in, and Toyota Financial gave me 5%. Tore up the check from Navy Fed and went with the dealership. Mind you, I got a used Taco so the rate is typically higher than a new one.

It’s in Chesapeake in the Greenbrier area. Right now I believe they are doing a $1000 rebate or lower apr promotion. I know it isn’t much but it’s something.

I work for the same company that owns the Hall dealers. They're definitely not all like the experience you had with the Nissan. I got mine last month, next door to the dealer I work at, in Owings Mills, MD which is probably the closest MileOne location to you. Can confirm that banks will sometimes give a dealer a better rate/kickback due to the amount of business sent their way. With that being said, as someone else mentioned, it's usually a lower apr or a cash rebate, but not both. Good luck!

Sheehy Toyota in Stafford treated me well. Dennis Cronin was my sales rep and was a nice guy. A guy named Martin (a Scottish guy) sold my wife her RAV4 and we had a good experience with him too.

Had a great experience with McDonough in Staunton. Plus they do a free lifetime engine warranty.
