I recently switched from the very very used car club to the new car club. And from a 2001 Jetta TDI with 300,000 miles to a 2018 Tacoma TRD Offroad with 0 miles... well now 2000miles. Now I'm looking for ways to make these kind of trips a little easier. Time for Mods! :headbang:

I have a yakima two bike hitch rack that I thought would be a perfect combination with the motorcycle in the bed. The only problem is when i drop the tailgate, it is within a quarter inch from touching. Plus i can only use the rear bike holder, making it a one hitch bike rack.

I'm looking at roof racks. For one, they look sweet! but that seems like my only option for a loaded down vehicle.

Mines a 1979/82 yamaha xs1100. It's a little over 600lbs and I was a little nervous about the weight of it when i was loading it on the tailgate. I can't imagine your gixxer wouldn't fit cause its lighter and probably has a shorter wheelbase. Longbed would have been nice and very useful, but I hope the SB pays off in Moab over thanksgiving this year @rnish and @robssol! :tumbleweed:

Enjoy your trip! I wish I could do that. I just don't like long trucks and I know its only a little longer but just didn't like the feels, or the look. If the bike doesn't fit though, I can rig up a trailer or something. be easier for my short legs to get the bike up anyways. haha.
