I played outside most the time as a kid

 

I grew up taking things apart, and not putting them back together.

This habit still caries on to this day.

But now i think about it I didn’t have access to the internet outside of school till like 7th grade but didn’t even use it till like 9th grade

I hate when i see parents just give their kids ipads to keep them quiet at restaurants

 

Wow. You and I have lived very different lives. I grew up with computers, probably why they're such a big part of my life now (and part of the reason why I'm pursuing a Computer Engineering degree).

My family got our first computer in 2003, this old shitbox Dell Optiplex. The sound of the AOL Dial-Up connecting will forever be engrained into my head.

My elementary school started us off learning Microsoft Office on old Apple eMacs in around 2nd Grade. I got my first laptop when I was seven.

Some tech can be good as an educational and developmental tool. Just limit it to say half an hour per day, or maybe longer on weekends. Just don't use it as a distraction tool.

I wouldn't be who I am today if my parents didn't buy that Dell desktop in 2003. Of course I am that weird generation that half grew up without smartphones and social media, and half grew up with them. Social media and smartphones really became mainstream once the iPhone 3G came out.

I was partly joking. I spent some time on 4Chan, but it was only a couple months out of my life. I saw some fucked up shit on there one day, and I never went back.

What is the cost of living in that area?

How much does a 20 year old, 1600 sq. Ft. Cost in the so, so subs cost?

Around here, a very nice one would be under $200k.

If the same house there cost $700k, then that is pretty much an average LEO wage.

My 520sq ft house is worth 300k. At last apprised. So yea, most cops I know live a hour or more from work .cheaper to live, and you don't bump into anyone you took for a ride.
